Five Below — Attraction in Pooler

My kids absolutely love coming here but after today I don’t know if we will ever be back! My 2 girls went in to get a toy they wanted to spend their money, no problem so they go in and look and get what they want. Great… get to the register and my 7 year old is autistic and she just does things differently so the guy was 1 impatient as she was trying to unfold the money to hand it to him, she gets it unfolded and handed to him and says there you go girl, I’m sorry man, and a GROWN man decided in that moment he was going to make fun of her… he called her a boy multiple times he proceeded to talk in a girly voice and when another employee walked behind the counter he said “she wants to call me a girl I’ll just talk like one and call her a boy” I had to walk away or I was going to cause a scene. As much as me and my husband have tried to let it go I WILL NOT be letting this go! I am writing this review and I will be calling the manager tomorrow morning. If I ever go back and he’s there and does it again I will 100% cause a scene in that store. A grown adult should NEVER make fun of a child especially one with a disability. 100% disrespectful. I’m after his job at this point. Sincerely, one pissed off parent. FIVE BELOW TRAIN YOUR...

Went to get my daughter a basketball hoop to go above the door a few days before Easter Sunday. Not a great idea as when I went, someone had bought them all for Easter baskets.

I asked the MOST helpful assistant Jocelyn (who can only be described as an angel) who went above and beyond helping me. She could have just left it at the person bought them all yesterday but she went and asked the stock room assistant Carlos (also an angel), who went in the back and came back with the last one in the store. Went home with this for my daughter’s Easter basket and all was well thanks to these amazing employees!

If the manager of the store is reading this, please reward these two employees accordingly as they’re amazing!

My daughter loves shopping here and so do I! Recommend it...

The store has many nice and affordable conveniences and gifts for younger teens/children. The aisles were easy to navigate except for an occasional blockage my shoppers lingering in a section. My two critiques are: 1. the t shirt section was in a disorganized pile at the back of the store. This could possibly be attributed to the patrons wrecking the section. 2. The second issue was that some racks were bare of merchandise, again I can likely attribute this to possible popularity of the items displayed but it made the store appear disorganized in an otherwise neat setting. Overall the experience was a good one. Fun items for a low price. I think they just need a bit more staff to keep the place...
