Not the type of food or service I expected.
Jumping right in, I craved some sliders. I looked up Wild Wing and saw that they had them at the Pooler location. I patronized the establishment. Upon entering, there was a small wait 5 minutes or so, but as I waited I observed the slew of servers working which were a lot and the dirty tables that seemed to have been dirty way before I had entered and waited for my seat. If 4 of the servers who were complaining about the next shift coming on would have cleaned up those tables, guests that were waiting to be seated would have already had a table to be seated at.
I order off the menu the 3 sliders. I specifically ask for no pickles and when the burgers come out, there are pickles. The one server whispers to the other "ill just take the pickles off the top of his burgers" that would have led to a law suit, as I mentioned that Im allergic, thus asking for no pickles.
I wait an additional 25 minutes...total time 48 minutes for an appetizer. My main meal was 12 wings with Ranchilada and Margarita sauces and fries. I specifically ask for fresh fries from my server which he replies, i'm pretty sure they will be fresh we have some fries being dropped now. Side note, I don't like condescending remarks. I asked that because I have run into occasions where restaurants who tout "fresh" everything, the food comes out warm and sometimes even cold.
Exactly the case when I got both my wings and fries. I at 2 fries and said "the hell with this" The wing flavors were subpar. Mix the warm, not fresh cooked wings with flavors that didn't have any pizazz to them and the experience was abysmal. My server came back to ask how everything was, and I told him to take the fries off of my bill because they weren't hot and fresh as I requested.
Also to not the attention to detail from my server wasn't the best. It would make sense that if you order 2 drinks as I did, a water and a sweet tea, then why give me 1 straw? I guess i'm supposed to consume one then use the same straw on my other drink i guess.
My general impression, mixed with the service, speed of food delivered, taste of the food, ambiance (or appeal of restaurant) would be a 2 out of 10. I would not return to this location. I hope this letter reaches management and the seriously have a huddle about service for their servers, because I base my tip giving on the quality of service i receive. And this wasn't quality service.
I hope this helps with aiding in improving service for...

I had been to this joint (Wild Wings Cafe) at least a few dozen times in the past. I absolutely loved the wings and sauces and anytime I'd want wings, this place would be my first choice. That all changed on Thursday 4/25 @ 1pm. We sat for over 40 minutes waiting for our order (wings and burger with fries). While waiting we watched our waitress (Hailey) take countless orders and even take other customers their food who arrived after we did. Later, she claimed to have put our order in as soon as we placed it but that was clearly not true. She had been gone so long attending to other customers that we had to ask a waiter to locate her for us. About 5 minutes later our waitress came to our table after about 40 minutes with a set of wings that looked dehydrated and cold. When we asked to speak to her manager she sent Ashley to our table who was even worse than she was. Ashley (Manager) stated i understand, you have been waiting for a long time. The cook only got your wing order and not the order for your burger. Things happen, we are cooking your burger now". Really? Things happen? No apology or anything, just "things happen". I am so disappointed, I truly was a fan of the wings and sauces but when the service sucks the food isnt as enjoyable. In fact, the wings she bought out after over 40 minutes of waiting were visibly unappealing. They were awful looking! Also, kitchen staff were bringing fresh wings from the kitchen to the wing bar non stop.
Although disappointed with the service at Wild Wing Cafe, I can say I'm happy it happened that way! So we really wanted wings and decided to go to the BUFFALO WILD WINGS IN POOLER!! They have the absolute best wings and sauces hands down! I had never been to BWW before so I was not very excited about trying the wings. I was pleasantly surprised to taste and see that the sauces similar to WWC were much more flavorful and they weren't stingy with the sauces either! I really enjoyed their wings and will definitely be a loyal customer!! Two of my favorite sauces are Jammin Jalopeno and Asian Zing!! The Cheese Curd Burger was awesome also! If you want amazing wings and great service, GO TO BWW!! You wont be sorry!!
FYI: I didnt share my experience at WWC with the waitress at BWW. I simply went in sat where seated and placed my order. Our waitress was courteous and prompt! She never forgot about us, and we were seated outside alone (at our request). The food came out quickly and...
Read moreOverall this place is only ok with decent atmosphere, lots of TVs and good cold beer but as for the food and service, it was VERY DISAPPOINTING. My recommendation is to go spend you hard earned money elsewhere where they care more about the quality of what they serve and how they serve it.
Why do I say this?
For those who have a little more time to read on, here is how it went down when I came by one recent chilly Monday evening…
First the host seemed annoyed that I asked to sit at a regular table instead of a high top. Didn’t greet us, barely asked us to follow him. Just took a menu, plopped it down on the table and walked away. Ok not a great start but maybe he was having a bad day. Everybody’s allowed to have one of those once in a while!
Eventually the server came by, and took our order. The food took a while then the first order of chicken nuggets showed up. They were lukewarm (at best), dry and tough as nails. Honestly they tasted like reheated food. The second (replacement order) of nuggets were also dry and hard; but I ate them because I was just plain hungry. Second, the chicken salad … it was a handful of half droopy greens out of a bag with a spoonful of bacon bits and 3-4 cherry tomatoes along with some unimaginatively cooked chicken breast on top, all served with store bought balsamic vinaigrette that was ok, in a “cereal” bowl type of dish.
Not totally offensive but definitely not worth anything close to 21$ (this is for the salad and nuggets only). The American Amber beer was cold and delicious - the best part of the meal by far - and completely worth the 6-7$.
As for the service, my server was pleasant enough but overall very slow, and inattentive- she did not serve water, didn’t bring utensils (when she did eventually brought only a fork, no knife). To add insult to injury, she omitted to deduct the cold chicken nuggets from the bill (as she said she would). When I pointed that out to her, she went up to see if my bill could be adjusted, and came back to the table 5 minutes later saying she “couldn’t do it right now” but that it would be deducted from my credit card bill in 48 hours. We shall see. Not impressed, to say the least.
Bottom line … Mediocre food and service. Plain and simple. That was my experience. Maybe I just wasn’t lucky that night. My two cents though: Don’t waste your time or money here unless all you want is a cold beer. There are plenty of other good options around that deserve...
