This could be a fun place to relax and sip on a variety of wines with beautiful views of the bay. Cheese plate and pizza options make it a versatile place. It could have been a great stop on a bachelorette party.
My girlfriends and I did have an issue here when we ordered the goat cheese veggie pizza for the bachelorette, who is extremely allergic to cow’s milk dairy. We thought it was made with goat cheese and she’d be able to eat it, and we confirmed at the counter that “it was just goat cheese and veggies.” The pizza came out with mozzarella on it, and she couldn’t eat it. The winery was hesitant to remake the pizza with goat cheese only, saying the mozzarella was necessary to sop it up. They refused to remake a pizza my friend could eat or comp the error pizza because “the cheese is expensive.” We left having paid for the pizza the bachelorette couldn’t eat.
This fallback in customer service exacerbated what could have been a good experience. Good customer service is such a key part of the visit that I would not recommend it to...
Read morePut-In-Bay Winery went above and beyond to make my parent’s 36th anniversary one to remember! We ordered two bottles of wine and paid just as much for shipping to get it here on time. We were sadly disappointed when we only had one bottle shipped to us, especially with it being close to a holiday.
I quickly emailed the winery and let them know and they jumped into overdrive to right their wrong. They express shipped not only the bottle that was missing, but TWO more bottles making a total of FOUR bottles of wine! They also threw in the cutest little ornament and paid for all of it. I am beyond impressed with how they handled this situation, especially with the holiday! So happy to say that my parent’s will be going on their picnic today and surprised with their wine. The same wine they shared after they eloped on the island...
Read moreI just read Phyllis's review and her time frame was a smidge better..
It took 2wks and me cancelling the order to even get an email..Then I was nice enough to give the benefit of the doubt given the weather and proceeded to wait and wait. It is now 39 days (OVER 5 WKS) and I just received the tracking number showing it was returned to their dock on 1/20 and they did nothing nor sent anything, but keep my money until I asked again where the wine was. The response I finally got back was that I should check with ups to try and track it down from when it was delivered back to the Dock and accepted by a person named Miller.. I would expect that service from NY or China.. Too bad the case I ordered was for a party with 2 former State Senators, that I had bolstered for them to get to try some great domestic Ohio...
