We had a party of 7 and informed the Hostess of our numbers. The wait was 15 minutes so we said, "fine" and we sat & stood there by the Hostess stand to wait for our table. There appeared to be two Hostesses. We noticed some other large parties after us at the Hostess stand received buzzers to be notified of when their table will be ready (We never received a buzzer). So I asked the Hostess what's going on because it appeared other large parties were about to be seated before us that arrived after us. We were informed that we were not on the list to be seated. I naturally asked why and we were told we should have a buzzer if we placed our name. I asked, the girl, "why are we all sitting and standing here waiting if we didn't want to be seated?". We were again told we are not on the list and we would have to wait our turn but several other groups that arrived after us will be seated before we are. I stated that's not fair, we didn't make the mistake of not handing us a buzzer. The hostess basically implied, "tough luck". Of course this upset me and my party of people. Yes, I did swear and stated, "what you are basically telling us is that we are F--Ked". Once the other Hostess arrived, she admitted the mistake but there was still nothing they will do that they are going to serve the groups that arrived after us before us. Not even an apology. An apology would have went a long way, especially after admittance of their mistake. Instead she hated being told she made a mistake and her anger became evident. So we left, never to return and spread the word of our treatment. This treatment from a hostess would never happen at a...
Read moreLet me start by saying my food was very good, and I enjoyed my dinner drink very much. I brought my team to PIB to celebrate our success and felt this restaurant would be perfect. Because of Covid you can only have max of 10 people per table so we split them in 7 and 6. My ONLY request was that we be served at the same time. So when our table was completely done eating and the other table had not gotten their food yet I asked for a manager.
I started with how good the food and drinks were at our table, and then told her that I was very disappointed that the other table still didn’t have their food and we were done. She proceeded to say they ordered salads??? We had salads too. I was so nice and said, no because we had salads too. I really just wanted her to know as it was my ONLY request that it was just disappointing. She started acting so rude and saying insane things.
Then I decided to ask for the owner as I was positive they would not be happy with how this women acted.
SHE came back over as the OWNER????? She was even nastier and rude and honestly wasn’t even making sense.
I have eaten there every year and sometimes twice a year for a long time. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant.
Oh and when the other table finally got there food two steaks were under cooked 🤦🏻♀️ We had to wait even longer.
Honestly I think this was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I am not going into much detail just know that if you think of your worst service multiply...
Read moreWe were visiting the island and had our dogs with us. The restaurant is supposed to be dog friendly but we weren't able to dine at the restaurant. This was due to short staffing and they had to close that section, which I can understand. Though section may be a stretch as it's three patio tables along the side of the building. Regardless, the server suggested we utilize the biergarten so we did. The biergarten has a very small menu, and they were already out of items. The currywurst was disappointing. It was basically long thin breakfast sausage slathered in ketchup with curry seasoning dumped on top. It just didn't seem worth the price. Another member in my party got the bratwurst and remarked she'd had better from the grocery store. I can understand that times are uncertain and difficult, but this was our first stop on the island and we were a bit disheartened. Hopefully we can give it another try in better times and I can...
