South Bass Island — Local services in Put-in-Bay Township

South Bass Island is extremely costly and not worth the money. For all the high fees and charges for everything, they should put some presentation effort back into it. They let things get filthy and run down. Displays were broken, and unprofessional. The old coins were taped on to a faded piece of paper and stuck crooked to the wall, for example. While waiting in the room to get the tour to Perry's cave, you could see their own trash and storage shoved in corners and on the floor. The caves are a natural beauty that should be available to everyone, or at least have a minimal fee. The Antique auto museum was awesome and free of charge. We were glad to leave a donation. The Erie Island Carts/"Lessor" was the exception. Their customer service was above and behond, well worth the funds required to rent the golf cart. Their price was extremely cheaper than the first rental facility that is near...

If you like to party this is the place... Lots to do up there. You have to go up there for Halloween it's the best place and a lot of bars but there is this one its called the round house and the bar moves. It's just a fun place for people and the boat ride over to island is very nice. Just a heads up stop drinking for the ride home on boat , just a heads up....😱😱. But if your going up to stay at Halloween make plans way before like months ahead to get a room. A great place and the people up there are so friendly and kind that it makes want stay.... Just...

Very expensive $86 for ferry ride round trip for car and 2 people. Over$90 for jet express. Drinks are $8-$9 for beers can't drive anywhere in vehicle no places to park. Have to rent golf carts at $80-$120 day, then pay to park them. Food is twice anywhere else. They are overpricing there tourism to the point no one will...
