WOW! Had there only been a PARK CENTRAL (or developed North Hills) when I moved to Raleigh from Los Angeles, CA in the summer of 2002! Luxury Lifestyle packaged as a rental!
Having moved from Santa Monica/Los Angeles and having lived and worked in New York/Manhattan, it has been delightful to know Raleigh has expanded its reach as a mid-sized city to embrace and now provide a city-living luxury alternative called PARK CENTRAL.
That said, PARK CENTRAL is the CROWN JEWEL of providing a luxury lifestyle packaged as a rental. So, just recently when my client moved from living in mid-town Manhattan on the East Side, I enthusiastically suggested PARK CENTRAL as the closest replica to providing the luxury and convenient range of services she was so accustom to in New York City.
So, what is it about PARK CENTRAL that makes it so special?
FRIST CLASS building amenities, staffing and services to tenants. Beautifully appointed “homes in the sky” (apartments) with stainless steel appliances, chef’s kitchens, spa-like bathrooms, appealing current color schemes, spectacular views. Saltwater pool, state of the art gym/workout facility and community center/room that is perfect for hosting a gathering of guests. Pool area, dressing rooms, exercise room are immaculately maintained, clean and organized. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, accessible, extremely helpful, extraordinary and attentive concierge management and service staff.
LOCATION (positioned Raleigh “Central” with easy access to 440/40, downtown and North Raleigh)
EASY ACCESS to North Hills community services, retailers/merchants, restaurants and entertainment. And all of this is accessible to tenants through a free-shuttle service. I call this shuttle service as the PARK CENTRAL luxury limo golf-cart Lyft/Uber”.
Both Jacqueline Wells (property manager) and Lauren Bass were extremely courteous, professional and over-the-top helpful in facilitating both my client’s and my introduction to PARK CENTRAL. At the time (March 2017) we “toured” PARK CENTRAL virtually as construction had only begun. These women were true professionals and frankly, the manner in which they worked with my client ensured her to complete a smooth move to Raleigh.
FYI—my client’s home in the sky at PARK CENTRAL is beautiful and living at PARK CENTRAL has certainly contributed greatly to transitioning to her new life in Raleigh.
I will continue to highly recommend PARK CENTRAL as THE PLACE to live if you are seeking an extraordinary, luxury lifestyle.

We constantly have to try to force updates out of their staff, and they've continually given empty promises about working on the issue that haven't materialize. Under no circumstances can I recommend this apartment complex given the numerous issues that we've experienced living in the unit. I'm counting the days till our lease expires so that we can look elsewhere.
Park Central is definitely one of the fanciest apartment complexes in Raleigh, but I've been sadly disappointed in my experience living here since September 2017. Ultimately, the issues come down to the following reasons.
The staff has a major communication problem. Electricity to the building has been shutdown for construction without warning, and fire alarm testing has been conducted with only five minutes notice. The issue extends to the maintenance team as well, where my dryer has been broken for nearly 3 weeks and updates on the situation have only come when I hunt down Park Central staff. Two other requests I THINK were fulfilled, but I have no way to know. They immediately close out requests and don't leave any sort of note when they enter your unit.
Noise is a much bigger problem than it should be in one of the city's most expensive apartment complexes. Kane Residential (the owners) clearly cut costs by neglecting proper noise isolation between units. It's actually rare that you DON'T hear your neighbors. (The only reason I think this hasn't been a common complaint on reviews yet is due the building still being mostly empty.) Another issue is that lack of double-paned windows means the noise from frequent events in Midtown Park floods your room - not so bad for Friday night concerts, but incredibly aggravating when "Walk for Such and Such" decides to blast their sound check at 6:30 AM on a Saturday morning.
I find my unit quite nice. I really do. I enjoy being close to everything in North Hills. But, those two issues above permeate the experience so much that it really, really makes it hard to recommend this place at such...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I have loved our time here at Park Central, and only left because I was relocated to another state for work. The facilities are absolutely gorgeous, the pool on the 8th floor a jaw dropper in and of itself, and our unit has been great.
And that's not even to mention the staff! Tiffany was the very first person we encountered at PC last July and was great, going out of her way to help us when we walked in with no tour scheduled and while she was overwhelmed with a very busy office. Tripp has been awesome, from the very first day we came over in a panic after a mishap at a previous apartment, to helping us rent a guest suite the very night we signed a lease (staying later to help get that all processed), to always helping out quickly with requests and finding time to say hello. Heba has been very pleasant and helpful, and though our interactions have been brief she definitely inspires that much more confidence in good staffing choices for PC. Kaila has been so friendly and helpful as well, though our interactions have been limited. Alexandra likewise has been quick to help, even when busy with other work, and is definitely a solid addition to the team.
And then there's maintenance: Glenn and Matt are extremely professional, fast, and pleasant, fulfilling maintenance calls very quickly and patiently.
There's also tons of monthly events thrown by Park Central and everyone comes out for them, be they pop up drinks nights on the patio, trivia in the common room, nights out at various restaurants close by, or free group offerings at the local coffee shops and yoga studio. And the proximity to the green (where free concerts go on all summer long,) and being walking distance from multiple excellent restaurants and the grocery store can't be beat.
We'd still be living at Park Central if we didn't have to move, and we'll be checking back if we ever get back to Raleigh. If you're looking to live in the North Hills area you'd do well to check out Park Central.
Thanks for everything PC staff, and hope we...
