This was my first time at the Post Office Saloon and was excited to check it out. The restaurant was very clean and the decor was well designed and comfortable. Our waitress was friendly to a point but since I usually go to restaurants shortly after the lunch or dinner rush (one of the advantages of being retired) she seemed to be ready to go home. I ordered a Bloody Mary and asked if the steak sandwich was a good choice. She said that it was popular and that "everyone loved it."

The drink was very good, I would give it an 8/10. The mix was thick and just a little bit spicy, the vodka (house brand) was in balance to the mix and the drink was well dressed with pickled asparagus, olives, lime and lemon slices. I was charged $7.50 for it which is about right.

The steak sandwich was another story. I had requested it be cooked to medium rare but when I saw how thin it was I was surprised that they even bothered asking me how I wanted it cooked. Seriously, the fries were thicker than the steak! It was well seasoned and was served opened-face with onions and mushrooms but my first three bites were all fat. The rest of it was tough and over cooked. I only ate half of it and when the waitress dropped of the check she asked if I wanted a box for the rest of the sandwich. I told her politely that I really didn't care for it. She replied, "Oh well" and left. For $16 I expected better. I will not be hurrying back to the...

When I first went to the Post Office it was awesome! Wonderful atmosphere and service and the food and drinks were spectacular. My wife and I loved it. They told us that they were actually going to be changing their menu and that it was going to be better than before. Post Office is a bit pricey, so we gave it a couple of months and came back to it to check out the new menu.

The new menu is pretty bad. Not sure what it is with Post Office and soups and salads but trying to sell me a menu of soups and salads, each for 15-30 dollars is not my idea of better. I'm not sure who thought their menu was better, but it is not.

Drinks are good still but at the point that I'm at if I'm going to a bar I'd expect the drinks to be good. Hell, if I'm going ANYWHERE that serves drinks its standard that your drinks be good. The atmosphere and service is about the same, minus a new bartender who when we told her that we didn't really see anything on the menu she flat out ignored us, took the menus from us and walked away and never answered us after that.

If that kind of service and the new menu is the future of this place,...

The concept of their bottomless brunch on Sunday is a great one! Smaller bites off of a limited menu, you can order unlimited dishes to try and I just love that idea! There is also an option to have bottomless mimosas which I passed on. That being said, I am not sure if they were short staffed or what, but it appeared that they only ha one person servicing the whole place when we dined in around 10am. Service definitely suffered. I asked for tea and had to remind the server after about 20 minutes that I ordered one. Then another person in our group asked for tea and they waited another 20-30 minutes to get theirs. After eating half of my benedict, I found a hair in my food. I tried 4 dishes and out of those 4 I only really enjoyed one. I am not sure if they are under new management, but they definitely have some kinks to work out before I try them again. Super bummed by...

This place has been around forever! As I recall, they changed hands several years ago and the same people own Maxwell's. They have the selection of food, always been good. Service is usually good, depending on the time you are there. It has a fun, old school feel to it and isn't too loud (Like Maxwell's). I love wraps and they had a great turkey n swiss wrap that was probably more heathly looking than it was, but it tasted great. UPDATE!! new owners are amazing, great new menu, super good food.. keeping this landmark alive and well!

Man, talk about a hidden gem. You'd never guess this place has such good food. Not to say the place isn't nice, it's a got a casual, sports bar vibe. The food is just top notch and they are doing some really creative stuff with their menu. Highly recommend coming here for the Steak Sandwhich and a beer!
