Don't waste your $$ on the puppy (dog) patty, it was quite small, and falling apart (see pic!!), I was charged $2.55 for this. 😬🫤🙄 There's another place down the road that gives decent puppy patties for less than HALF that, and they are fresh made. I always prefer to patronize small businesses, and find they're usually much better than the fast food chain places, disappointed this is definitely not the case here!! I've been really looking forward to trying Dam Burgers, especially with the fun, local History. The service was okay, and quick. The Burger was nothing to write home about, and NOTHING stood out about it, not flavor, ingredients, nor price. The fries were the typical skinny (think frozen) type, but they did give a generous amount that I felt was consistent with the price point, however, they charge if you want fry sauce, you don't even get one with your order. As far as ambience, I always enjoy the small down home Cafe, this does offer that, with its dated interior and small seating capacity. Located in a busy downtown area with paid parking, it was easy to find parking.

A simple burger for a road trip on I-5. After 5+ hours on the road, this little hole in the wall really hit the spot. I got the Damburger with no onions, so only lettuce and mustard inside. The patty was very thin and flavorful! The burger bun is very similar to In-N-Out's style of bread. The fries are a similar style to McDonald's, but I personally think Damburger's are better. They are very lightly salted, so if you prefer salty fries, you should ask for more. The staff was really friendly and made sure all customers were social distancing outside. There are no customers allowed inside the store, but there is outdoor seating if you are comfortable. Two burgers and mega fries only took about 5 minutes! Super quick and perfect for a road trip. Also keep in mind, there is no public bathroom here!

What a find in downtown Redding! We were looking for Summer Nights at the Park which wasn’t open so this place struck us as a fitting replacement. It reminds me of the hamburger spots from my youth and the location is outstanding right near some hot spots. Entering I noticed it was full, the customers were all smiling and the atmosphere was welcoming. We were greeted promptly and our questions answered. We both chose the double Hot Dams and I highly recommend it. The burgers were perfectly cooked, cheese fresh and condiments well matched. We got out for twenty bucks for two doubles with fries, matching up to where we are from we could have purchased a single with bacon for the same. I highly recommended this place to everyone who is hungry… it’s the perfect spot.

Reasonable prices and good food This place has been in business over 75 yrs here in Redding. It's been in service since 1938 and was named after the building of the Shasta Dam. Patties are thin 1/8 lb patties but they are full of flavor. Price is about $10 for a burger, plenty of fries and a drink.

The hole in the wall burger spot. The locals burger joint. The mom and pop corner shake shop. All the stuff of legend. If you don't have one, your looking for it. That spot where the burgers are juicy, they ask you how you want them cooked, they have a "fry sauce" for dipping and they have malts. Malts!!! It's on Placer, but it's wedged in between a giant, faceless concrete bunker-like building with no windows, and a bank across the street. It is the life and color of the end of the block. The patio is a canopy over some tables on the sidewalk, a few Christmas lights, a fence, and tons of charm. It's fresh, made with soul and love, and they care. It's an independent burger shop with crispy fries and great burgers. If you haven't been there, your denying yourself a piece of the past, when you could hang a sign saying "open" and feed hungry workers who are building a dam. Yes. That's real, from when Shasta Dam was being constructed. Hence the name. There's no drive thru. It doesn't run on door dash or an internet ap. It's an actual burger joint, built by locals, for locals, and it's delicious. It's not fancy. It's...
