This place is great! They are really off to a good start. A couple of tips for them as I have years of experience in restaurants and I've eaten here about a dozen times now.
Give the drinks to people right when they order, or when they get their food. Doing it anywhere between these 2 instances creates a chaotic environment where people are in each other's way.
When you have an open kitchen make sure that the restaurant is adequately cooled. A couple of times it's been way too warm in there and I've had to leave early to get a breath of fresh air. At least open the windows
Probably make it a rule to not let your employees blare death metal from the back of the store with customers there. I'm a death metal fan myself, but there is a time and place for edgy music.
Figure out a way to deal with the flies. Get a door fan or something. There are always flies in this place, and it's just from them flying in. It has nothing to do with the cleanliness or quality of the restaurant.
Please add more drink options. The very small selection of drinks is definitely off-putting when I think about where to get a burger.
Someone should be cleaning the lobby/eating area very consistently. I see the person behind the counter staring off into space all the time while I'm trying to find a spot to sit that doesn't have a bunch of crumbs and stuff on it. The lobby area should be cleaned every 10 minutes.
I know this seems like a critical review, but really this place is great. That's why I gave it 4 stars. Great staff, great food, great location. There are just some things that can use improvement, and any good restaurant should always be looking for...
Read moreTL;DR: Fries are AMAZING. Buns are significantly bigger than the patty.
Parking: small private lot and street parking.
Atmosphere: very limited indoor seating, upbeat music playing in background, lots of grill sizzling sounds.
Service: order and pay at the kiosk up front, your name will be called, pick up your order and seat yourself if dining in, water dispenser near the restroom to the left of the kiosks, condiments to the right of the kiosks.
Menu: on the kiosk, simple menu with short descriptions containing strictly burgers, shakes and fries. Only 3 canned drink options. Rotating seasonal burgers.
The Coastline Burger: great flavor combos and the toppings are very fresh! The only thing I didn't really appreciate was that the patty was so small compared to the bun. I had 1/3 of bun leftover with no patty and toppings. I got a single patty and the sandwich as a whole definitely felt more heavy on the bread side even with the toppings.
Haystack Fries: I can eat these ALL DAY. Not overly greasy at all and they have the perfect crispy on the outside, soft on the inside texture. Perfectly salted as well. Pretty generous proportion to share or eat my yourself--get a whole order for yourself if you ask me. Too good to share!
I personally don't think the buns are "the greatest buns of all time" like the giant sign claims them to be. But they are still better than your average burger joint bun.
If you're feeling particularly hungry, I would suggest two patties as opposed to just one. And this is coming from me, a...

Their menu is easy to navigate and customizing the burger allows you to get and pay for exactly what you want - no surprises that you wish you would have put on the side or overpriced items.
Price. the ONLY place, probably in the entirety of King County, where you can get a DELICIOUS burger and fries for under $10 without having to know a second language. The fries are just as delicious as Five Guys’, but -for one person- much more reasonably priced.
Service: Quick, polite, and happy to assist with questions. Kinda feels like in-and-out burger. Most restaurants in the area- especially those priced similarly- have a terrible customer service experience. Go see for yourself.
Food: I got a burger with fries and it is was 10/10. Especially for the price this is an outstanding value; it’s like paying for Wendy’s yet getting a better burger than Tipsy Cow or Woodblock - It’s great to get a filling burger and fry without spending $17, which is the case at every other burger shop in the area except Wendy’s (you don’t want to go to the Wendy’s in this area).
100% going here again and encouraging everyone I know to eat here because it IS the best value...
