Iâve got a complicated relationship with this business. While they were able to recover about 200 GBs of data after water damage to my phone, every single step of the process was made more difficult than it needed to be because of inconsistent communication between the techs and people working at the front. The whole process ended up taking 6 round trips to the store (including the trip to drop off the broken phone and to pick up my restored phone), 3 weeks from start to finish, and multiple phone calls and voicemails before finally being settled with my data recovered. Thatâs not to mention all the issues with being misquoted (see the original review below). To highlight the inefficiencies of the business, take this example: I dropped off my new phone to have the data transferred on to it at 11 AM on February 8th. I received a call at the number I told them to contact me at around 2 PM asking for my phone passcode (which I had previously told them but whatever). I called back around 5 pm to get an ETA on the transfer as I live 30 min away from the shop and needed to plan when to pick it up. No response, left a voicemail, no follow up. Called again at 6:20 PM, someone picked up, and I was then informed the transfer hadnât started because I needed to physically come to the store to use my Face ID to factory reset it. I was also repeatedly told upon arriving to reset the phone that I should have come earlier in the day and not so close to closing (I can not express how angry being treated as the idiot hysterical woman made me, especially given that it was in fact the repair shopâs fault for not telling me to come in until I called). Could this have been communicated to me when I first dropped off the phone? Yes. Could they have called me when they first realized they needed my Face ID? Yes. Apparently they tried calling my number-yes, as in, the number for the phone sitting in their shop rather than the number I told them to contact me at. This led to yet another trip to the store the next day when the data transferred finally occurred. These inefficiencies happened at every step (I spent 2.5 hours sitting at a coffee shop in Redmond while waiting for the data to be transferred to an external hard drive, only to call to check in for an ETA and be told the hard drive I was told by the shop to drop off could not in fact be used for the data transfer). It was a beyond frustrating experience that led to a massive loss of time and gas money.
The techs, for what itâs worth, seem good at their job. I am genuinely so grateful to have my data from the last four years back, and I appreciate the integrity to honor the original quoted price of $150 (plus $15 I was charged when I picked up my phone for a reason Iâm unclear on). That said, they have to find a way to streamline their repair process. â- OG Review: i left my phone for a data recovery following water damage. the person who helped me said it would be a flat rate of $150 and about a week for the process. i asked if there would be any extra fees once the data was recovered, and he assured me there wouldnât be. two days later, i got a call saying the phone was ready for data recovery, which could take four weeks and that i would owe an extra $450-750. when i called to ask why i was misquoted, i was told the manager would call me later that day or the next day. that was over a week ago. i have called and they donât pick up. i have left voicemails that they never respond to. i could not have picked a more predatory business: they will intentionally deceive you about pricing, hold your phone hostage, and refuse to speak to you and own up to their mistakes. do not make the same mistake i made and trust them. iâm out a ânon-refundableâ $150 for a data recovery that never...
Read moreTLDR: They did not look at the computer for a week, when I pressure them, they misdiagnosed it and were ready to make me pay for a new piece I did NOT need, I however took the PC back and took 10 minutes to solve the issue once I saw what was wrong.
I cannot give 0 starts so 1 star it is. My computer suddenly lost all wifi capabilities, I tried a couple of things but decided to not huff about it and take my laptop to an expert, I took my laptop to them a Tuesday, they say they´'ll check it out and hit me up with a diagnosis the next day. Days pass. I call them Friday to see if there is a diagnosis, they say the technician is not there, but tomorrow they will check with the technician and update me later, they don't. I call Sunday as there is still no update, they tell me that they will check with the technician, and update me later, they again do not. I call Monday, and they do not answer. I call Tuesday, an entire week without knowing anything about my computer. They tell me the same thing again "We will check with the technician, then update you in about 10 minutes" at this point I think this technician they are referring to is some sort of mythical creature or prophet and I have decided that I will just take my computer back, finagle it myself and take it to another shop if I can't solve it. But then... they call me back! I am cautiously optimistic... They asked me AFTER A WEEK to give them the password to access my computer. This to me proves that either they are abysmally bad at diagnosing or that they have literally not check my computer for the entire week. In any case I am quite sure that leaving my laptop in the hands of a bunch of incompetent people has to be worse than me just checking a couple things myself. After work I get to the shop and I explain to the clerk what is wrong, when I mention that just today was when they asked me for the password she says that that is normal, as if they only work with the hardware, they don't need to. Having work in IT myself I know this is a LIE. Unless there is something immediately wrong with the hardware (liquid damage, broken screen, etc) you always check the software there to make sure you cannot solve the problem before going into the hardware (This will be important later). I tell her I want to see then what this mythical technician has been working on my computer for a WEEK and the only thing the clerk can do is come with a single post it note that apparently says that my laptop needs AN ENTIRE NEW WIFI CARD. This, is also a lie. I tell her that I will be taking the computer.
Well, I check device manager, saw the driver had some problem, had reinstalled the drivers and it did not work, I refreshed DNS and reset network and it did not work. I took another computer, downloaded a new driver into a hard drive, and installed it on the laptop, and you know what? I am using the internet I got connected to to write this. All in all, it took me 10 minutes to solve once I knew what to try. These scammers were ready to order a new wifi card on my behalf and make me pay for it after ignoring me and making me lose my time for a week, and then misdiagnosing my problem.

If you value your money and your phone, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Especially Issaquah location.
Hereâs my nightmare experience:
Broken promises: I took my phone in after the back glass broke, and they promised it would be done in a few hours. Guess what? First, they said afternoon⌠then evening⌠and finally, âcome back tomorrowâ after I had drove 40 minutes back and forth each time (losing work hours and wasting gas) because their receptionist guaranteed it would be ready. Spoiler: It wasnâtâand they never even called to tell me to not come in the third timeâŚ
Destroyed my screen: When I finally got my phone back, it had a huge black spot on the front screen and the display was completely ruined. The phone had zero issues with the front screen when I brought it in.
Unbelievable blame game: When I asked about the new problem, the employee on-site actually said, âItâs not my fault, I didnât do the repair.â Then, without telling me, he called the managerâwho was the one who had "tried" to fix my phone in the first place! The manager was OFF for the weekend, but that didnât stop him from screaming at me on the phone, telling me that this was all my fault for dropping my phone in the first place and coming in for repair. Oh, and he had the nerve to say âI wouldnât have damaged the front had you not brought in the phone to repair to begin with.. itâs because you dropped your phone that this happened so donât put the blame on me.â đĄ
Non-OEM parts without my consent: They tried to replace the front screen with a non-OEM part (which I declined because I need OEM parts for trade-in value) which was their way of âmaking it rightâ. Turns out, they had already replaced the back glass with a non-OEM part WITHOUT telling me! They literally didnât care about informing me about key decisions for my phone.
đ¸ THE FINAL BLOW:â¨While it has been a few months since this incident, I wanted to warn others that I found out I canât even trade in my phone at Apple or my phone carrier all because they ruined my phoneâs screen and replaced the back with cheap parts. I otherwise would have been offered $450 for my iPhone 13 Pro MAX at Apple or up to $1000 at my phone carrier for a trade-in.
đ˘ WARNING: Do yourself a favorâDONâT BE FOOLED by their low prices. Trying to save $10-$20 on a repair has cost me hundreds, if not more. I shouldâve believed the other reviews before going in especially after looking at what was posted just a few months ago which was when I had gone in⌠but I learned the hard way.
đ Donât make the same mistake. Save your money and go...
