During my recent stay at Archer Hotel Redmond, I had an unfortunate experience with the front desk attendant. Despite informing them of my estimated midnight arrival time via text message, the attendant greeted me without any warmth or courtesy when I arrived at 2 am. I was bluntly told that my room would be available in 45 minutes without offering understanding or apologies. Keep in mind that I had already been traveling for eight hours and spent two hours waiting in line for a rental car, leaving me exhausted and eager for a restful stay.
When I requested to speak with the supervisor, the attendant claimed falsely to be the manager and engaged in an unnecessary and argumentative conversation. It took considerable effort on my part to finally get her to consider a solution, and even then, there was no willingness to provide any kind of gesture to alleviate the situation. Moreover, she demanded an apology from me before considering working on a solution; adding further discomfort to the already unpleasant encounter.
To my surprise, the front desk attendant cited that she was printing a sales report as the reason for the delay. This explanation struck me as inadequate and raised concerns about the hotel's priorities when guests' needs should be their utmost concern, especially during the late hours of the night.
Throughout the encounter, the front desk attendant demonstrated a lack of basic hospitality knowledge and seemed uninterested in ensuring a pleasant guest experience. I felt that my concerns were disregarded, and there was no sense of responsibility to provide reasonable service for the premium I paid for a seven-night reservation.
At the end of this frustrating exchange, the front desk attendant handed me the room key without any instructions and showed no acknowledgment of my gratitude. Adding to my disappointment, I noticed she treated my colleague, who arrived 30 minutes later, with a higher level of courtesy.
Based on this experience, I must caution against considering Archer Hotel Redmond for corporate reservations. If it weren't for our corporate arrangement, I would have promptly sought alternative accommodations due to the fear and discomfort caused by this front desk attendant. It is my sincere hope that management addresses these issues and takes appropriate steps to improve their...
Read more12/5 I updated this review and added 2 stars for the customer service follow up. The hotel read my review and immediately contacted me and refunded part of my stay. I didn't ask for it, they just did it. I appreciate this and will certainly give the hotel another try. (note: Archer Hotel followed up within a day of my review; I am only just now getting to follow up with this update.
This hotel is smoke and mirrors…don’t be like me and get deceived by the cool exterior and modern photos. Unfortunately everything was sold out so I was not able to move to a different hotel.
This review is for my stay 9/17-9/21 in room 606.
Room/Cleanliness - 0/10
Restaurant - 8/10
Service 5/10
Room 606 was not clean. I chose this location based on the reputation of the Tyson’s location. However, as an employee of a firm with significant presence in the area and who has frequent travel to Redmond, I will steer clear of the Archer.
Slippers were used/dirty, tub/toilet/doors dirty, spots on pillows — were they changed?! The carpet is also filthy. I can’t tell if this due to per waste stains but it is worn down and dingy — thank God for slippers (once I finally got a clean pair). The floors should be wood throughout if the carpet will not be maintained.
The front desk staff were friendly but I had to make multiple Requests for items to be delivered. Seemed to be a breakdown in communication from when the front desk relayed message and when housekeeping received it. At one point it took nearly an hour to get toilet paper and fresh towels and when the towels arrived they were damp. Gross!
I only ate at the restaurant one night. The food was decent but sloppily prepared. The condiments were not sealed so it spilled out all over the food. Didn’t care for the condiment so half of the fries went to waste as they were saturated with the condiment. I’m addition, you should know that the cafe closes in the middle of the day so if you need a bite/drink after arriving on an early flight you’ll be disappointed and will need to go elsewhere.
Parking is also much higher than other properties I’ve stayed at in the area.
Noise 5/10 Quiet when it’s quiet but when it comes on (auto mode) HVAC sounds like a jet and sometimes it sounds like a drip somewhere for...
Read moreI’ve stayed at the Redmond Archer Hotel perhaps 10 or so times. I arrived in my room this evening and was FLOORED to open my phone to finally leave a review and see literally anything negative about this incredible gem of a hotel. While I welcome the false, dramatic reviews as it could perhaps bring down the price of my future stays.. it all seems fabricated by people who are likely trying to complain to receive a discount of some kind. My husband typically always treats us to an overpriced Hilton when we travel, but I chose the Archer while in town for work and would pay any amount of money to stay at this boutique hotel in any of their locations. The room and their modern decor, the restaurant and its INCREDIBLE food (plz bring back the chimichurri with the steak crying from how good it was) and service, Leila at the bar who knows my drink order after not seeing me for months (god so I love her so much and feel so at ease after a long day of travel to feel at home with her welcoming self there to greet me.. she deserves the entire world and makes my entire stay) the turn down service with the evening treats, the attention to detail from house keeping, and check in recommendations and the secure parking lot… it all goes to show, you get what you pay for. I continue to come here, while a bit high in price, because I adore feeling like royalty when I am away from home and my family while working. This is the cleanest, most incredible stay you’ll have away from home. My ONLY complaint, is that I love sleeping with a loud fan and wish the sound of the AC/fan would circulate through the night. The cure for this… bring a USB friendly mini fan to plug into the nightstand that has the excessive attachments for all your electronics and problem solved. Thank you, Archer hotel, for hiring incredible staff and for the personal touches of making me feel so welcome and spoiled while away from home! If I lived in WA, I would be taking my husband here for baby/free date nights on a regular basis. Although, I’d love to bring our little one for the in-room book recommendations and baby-accommodations! Thank you for the robes, slippers, beautiful views, and for truly making me...
