When traveling I stay at Marriott Hotels most of the time and usually have a good experience. This time was not one of those good experiences. Upon arrival I had to wait to check into my room as it still had not been cleaned by 3:30pm. They switched me to another room 30 minutes later as my room was still not cleaned. Upon getting settled in my room I noticed that there were places that had not been dusted in a while and even in the corner of the bathroom countertop there was blonde hair that had accumulated and not been cleaned. The room looked old and tired and I also saw areas that looked like they had rust. The design of the room did not leave any place to unpack my suitcase and put items away. I had to either leave items in my suitcase or put them on counter tops to access my belongings. Also, there was only one place to store a suitcase. So if you’re traveling with more than one suitcase or if more than one person is staying in a room you’ll be fighting for places to store your suitcase and unpack.||After the first night of my stay I had to request toilet paper and Kleenex TWICE in order to get some brought to the room. Also, housekeeping removed the used bath towels and wash clothes without replacing the ones they removed with fresh towels and washcloths. I had to request that towels and washcloths be sent to the room. The normal amenities that one might rely on in the bathroom were non-existent. They only provided a small tube of body lotion that was never replaced after I had used it up. They did provide shampoo, conditioner, and shower get in dispensers in the shower, however, the shower gel was completely empty and never refilled during my entire stay. The two glasses that were provided next to the water bottles (they charge $2/bottle for water) were never replaced at any time during my whole stay even though I repeatedly requested fresh glasses both at the front desk and even with the person who was cleaning the room. Staff was pleasant to talk to, but seemed ineffective at getting much done when requests were made.||Usually I order Room Service for breakfast so that I can eat while I’m getting ready. But the hotel doesn’t offer Room Service! So I went downstairs for breakfast at Brown’s on two of the mornings that I was there. The first morning the food was good, the second morning it was not cooked as ordered and came out cold. I sent it back to be prepared again so that I could heat a hot breakfast instead of cold food. This time the food was not cooked thoroughly as I had also requested. The waitress didn’t check back until she brought the bill, at which time I told her that the food had not been cooked all the way. Her ‘excuse’ was that the chef didn’t speak English very well so must not have understood that I wanted the food to be cooked more thoroughly. No offer to refund the breakfast or anything. Just the excuse.||This is one of the worst Marriott stays that I’ve had in many years and I will not stay at this...
Read moreUpon arrival we were greeted by front desk personnel, whom checked us in with a smile and a great attitude…we thought we were off to a good start. We checked in on Dec. 24th, so we were expecting a great time and a wonderful Christmas. The morning of we decided to eat breakfast at their restaurant. We arrived 45 minutes before the breakfast was scheduled to end so service was looking at their watches and were told if we wanted to order we would have to order right away. We sat at the bar and ordered our breakfast. The food was good and both of us had one Bloody Mary, also good. Service was a little pushy, including the bartender, but we didn’t want anyone to ruin our holiday so we returned to our room for the day. We went out to meet some friends and took an Uber. We returned to have Christmas dinner at their restaurant and arrived an hour before they were scheduled to close. They were pretty upset and asked us to sit at the bar again. I noticed other guests who arrived after us were greeted and sat in the dining room. Once again at the bar, the bartender in an extremely rude tone told me that if I wanted to order then I would have to order both appetizer and entree at the same time. We ordered one cosmopolitan each as we waited for our food. No water was offered, or utensils placed. Shortly after the bartender told us that she would not be able to give us our drinks because we seemed intoxicated and our eyes were red. We responded in a very polite tone that we only had one drink at breakfast and that was it. That meant nothing to her and she told us no she would not serve us. We said ok and sat back down. Still no water. She presented me with the check before the food. The total was $150 and I tipped her $30. After paying she brought out our dinner in two paper bags with a very rude demeanor. We asked for the manager, and we were met by a young man who seemed like the busser. He was also very rude and he let us know that he was the food and beverage directors. We didn’t argue, I noticed the tables who arrived after us had drinks and food on the table. I was extremely confused as to why were being treated with such service. But still we kept our cool, thanked the staff, and left. I stopped by the front desk to get some ice cream and looked back and saw the so called food and beverage director was following us. I again, ignored it, and we returned to our room to eat our cold Christmas dinner. We travel quite a bit and stay at hotels quite a bit for weekend vacations. I will never stay at the Marriott again, I will choose the Hyatt or the Hilton which have the same amenities but with much higher...
Read moreI was highly disappointed in my stay. I purchased my visit through a highly-regarded program through my employer. I understood that there would be valet parking, but there was no information which stated I would be charged a daily mandatory fee for the service. I was a bit surprised to find out there was a fee for Wi-Fi?? I was forced to join Bonvoy in order to receive "complimentary wifi", unless I wanted to pay the daily fee. Most hotels offer free Wi-Fi, that is normally a given accommodation. Of all the hotels I've stayed in in the last 10 years, this is the first time it ever experienced fees for Wi-Fi. After my first night stay, I purchased a pair of slippers because the uncarpeted floor was cold and left my feet and socks soiled. The large walk-in shower seemed lovely, but there was only a very small area to place my supplies, therefore I had to use the floor. Usually there is some sort of extra surface that would assist one in shaving their legs. Instead I got pelted in the head by the shower, which was not reachable if it was adjustable. This was not an issue a physical ability, rather the lack considering the normal needs of accommodations for most guests. I was forced to style my hair outside of the bathroom because there seems to be no ventilation. The bathroom was too humid with steam to dry and style my hair. This posed another problem, as there was no electrical outlets close enough to the mirror on the wall to style my hair. Therefore, I was forced to take the small magnifying mirror from the bathroom counter out to the desk area to style my hair. Overall, I would not choose nor would I recommend anyone to stay at this facility in the future. One thing that did stand out, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The valets, in particularly, we're very helpful and prompt in...
