Read moreWow just wow. Completely in shock! Today I ordered through Doordash "Pickup". I arrived early and sat down. I wasn't sitting down more than 20 seconds when a Hispanic cook walked up to me and said "if you are not ordering you have to leave". I kindly tried to explain to her that I did order and was there to pick up. It seemed the only thing she was fixed on was calling the police. I asked her if she understood what I was trying to communicate to her. But it felt like she had some sort of agenda to keep certain people out...? All I understood was the police part. After several minutes I was finally able to speak to someone who knew English and explained I was a customer. She asked for I.d / which is pretty odd ~ to confirm if it was me, and after providing her with one I was able to receive the order. I quickly left as I felt immensely humiliated. But the question is why so quick to call police on a customer or even a future customer whom is trying to order? Place another order for future and get a free bread… what am I going to eat it with? So for their mistake I will have to place another order?
Come back and get the bread. So I spend more time and let my food get cold to make my meal complete for their mistake?
Mistakes happen and that’s okay but the manager told me crassly that it was a very busy time and mistakes happen.
She mentioned that she is sorry but she didn’t really mean it.
They could have easily processed some sort of refund to own their mistake but she refused. I liked their food but this experience is leaving a bitter taste for me altogether. They lost a customer today and won’t be referring anyone here ever again.
I wished there was some level of accountability...
