This review is specifically for the Hot Food (Chinese station) and the Prepared Poke. I'm not sure why but I feel like the quality at this location is the lowest among the 3 that I've shopped at. The Seattle location is clearly the best and it's helped by the massive turnover of customers, so I get that. The Bellevue location is probably 2nd busiest and they have a more demanding quality considering the higher income of customers. But this location could improve their hot buffet line and the Fresh Quality of the poke. The poke has been 4 times good and about 2 times satisfactory. The hot Chinese station definitely tastes more like Filipino or Hawaiian style Chinese compared to the Ranch 99 Hot chinese buffet line which is definitely more cantonese style. If you know the variations, you'll probably see the subtle difference when I make these comparisons. It's better than Safeway Chinese and Winco Chinese but just not at the top echelon of take out chinese. The discounted hot bowls are a good deal when they offer it and the Roast Meats are the STAR of the show. Definitely recommend the Roast pork, char siu and ribs.

The Supermarket itself is ok. They carry the same items as the other stores and it's not as crowded.

Cashiers have all been good to me and...

I have always loved the store and I've been coming for many years. Me and my wife came with our baby to pick out some groceries and dishes. When we came up to the register stand Griffin was extremely rude. He would not say hi or acknowledge either of us. He had a upset look on his face as if he was very unhappy to be there. We had purchased three decorated bowls he hastily put them in the basket with no paper or bag, they clang together and nearly broke. He was rude and did a very poor job of packing the food. I'd purchased some mushrooms and other items that he had placed heavier items on top of and completely smashed them. This type of service is extremely unacceptable considering what we pay and that we are very polite and patient. I have worked in the food industry and customer service there is absolutely no reason to be so rude to customers and a handle the things they bought with such dismay. If you hate your job that much Griffin maybe you should look for another place to work cuz you're going to receive a lot of reviews like this if you keep treating your customers with such disrespect and their food that...

My family shops here all the time and gets food also at the deli often, about every week. I am pregnant and went today—I ordered a $6 chicken with veggies plate. I simply asked if I could have the veggies placed in a separate tray b/c the liquid from the veggies always drenches the chicken by the time I get home. I didn’t know until I got up to the register that the worker added an $8 sticker to the veggies tray they separated out. I asked and the checker went to ask the deli. The deli worker came and said the guy was new so he did not tell me he had to charge me a separate $8 fee just to separate it, that they had to charge me by pound for the veggies separated. I asked “so if I pour the veggies back into my chicken tray, you will remove the $8 charge?” He said yes. The checker apologized and felt bad. Either way.. That’s ridiculous and did not make any sense! I asked to speak to the manager—he went to get her, just to come back and tell me she was “busy”.

Poor way for you to treat your regular customers, especially a...

Our first visit to Uwajamia (Renton). This is a clean and organized Asian grocery and gift store. They are a pretty big store and lots of variety to choose from! A big Ramen isle, they even had a entire wall of Gashapon machines! They also have a hot food area, we did order the jumbo Combo with General tso chicken and orange chicken with noodles (a bit disappointing) the noodles were dry and if I am being honest I have had better but it wasn't horrible we did eat it all. Also a bit disappointing in sushi section, I would expect to see a huge selection of sushi but there was only a little cooler case of them. It is a very unique store with lots of cool snacks we both spent about $30 , I still give them 5 stars because it is cool experience The hot food cafe area 4 stars(they do give you a lot of food) Plenty of parking There is also a milk tea litter cafe type place inside The chocorooms are so good Also the hello panda! The mochi shaped donuts are good, it's a bit chewier than a regular donut Honey lemon pie was also good

They will overcharge you on whatever they can... I gathered LESS than a quarter of a pound of produce LEAF SCRAPS, and they somehow charged me 5.79. For something that is NOT EVEN WORTH A DOLLAR! Ridiculous. I don't understand how it benefits the *cashier at self checkout* to wildly overcharge people. I hope I never have to come back here again. I cant understand overcharging scraps that arent even for sale. Its for ONE little bearded dragon meal. They dont eat much... It's just unnecessary. I felt like a damn clown. 🤡 I may as well have left with my scraps than pay a crazy price for something that is worthless. I shall drive the extra time it takes to get my freaking scraps. It was $1.24, even being weighed in as the *most expensive* item. $1.24. How did that more than triple just by their own accord? Most uncool. I come here all the time! What da heck. Ok, rant over thank you for reading my Ted Talk

Update: I returned the item, and their customer service was very good and helpful throughout the process. Although the product didn’t work out for me, I appreciate how smoothly the return was handled. Don’t buy this “jelly pudding” from Uwajimaya—it tastes really really really bad. My kid and I love jelly and pudding, so we were excited to try this, but it was a big disappointment. We tried both the mango and coffee flavors, and they were equally unpleasant. The texture was especially off—it didn’t feel like jelly or pudding at all. The flavor tasted like something expired. This is the first time we’ve bought something so bad from Uwajimaya. That said, we still love shopping at Uwajimaya—it’s a great Asian market and we go there often. But I really regret spending almost $10 on this product. I wish I could return this.
