A dangerous and poorly-run cash grab. The first warning is the sign at the entrance informing you they will not purchase insurance to cover injury. This is not an indication that the business cares about the welfare of its customers. The sign says the slides are safe when ridden according to the rules, but there is minimal signage indicating what the safe way to ride is.
Worse, the lifeguarding is minimal. Two of the slides had no guards at all, with extremely minimal signage indicating how to safely ride the slides. The children's area occasionally had a lifeguard wander through and chat with the older kids - who were not supposed to be in the area according to one of the few signs posted.
On the slide that does have a lifeguard, I rode down with my daughter. On one of the curves, she flew up and slammed into the side. She was ok, but it could have been much worse.
The slides are fun once you figure out how to ride them. It's a shame that user error is the way to find that out.
I hope and pray that no one is injured or drowns here. It is not a business that takes the safety of its customers seriously. I do not...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE !!! This park is advertised as a waterpark yet none of the staff are CPR CERTIFIED or properly trained for an emergency situation My friend got seriously injured while going down the slide If it wasn't for those with her she would have drowned as she had a head wound and was unconscious The staff never got in the water to help nor did they call 911 after being asked to help They seemed annoyed by the event They didn't shut down the slide despite blood getting everywhere They got a poor excuse for a first aid kit and had to get dirty paper towels for the head wound I will not be going here if no one knows how to handle an emergency situation at an amusement park/ water park! Please train your staff You seem more interested in not getting sued rather than peoples lives and safety
Yes accidents happen but being prepared is VITAL especially at a place made for family's...
Read moreIt is inexpensive to get in ($12.95) and food is cheap, as others have said in their reviews, but has some major downfalls. It is located at the intersection of an interstate freeway with vehicle exhaust emissions and busy railroad tracks where trains pass by puffing out dark black smoke every 10–15 minutes, so serious air problems for all the kids running around. We are talking 100-300 yards away for both, so very close. Loud jets flying overhead too. Also, we were warned by a man sitting in a Discount Tire waiting room the previous day, who overheard us talking about going to Classic Slides today, that he was injured on a slide - arm all scraped up. The first slide my 9 year old son went down, he scraped his elbow on the slide (it was incredibly fast) and it took off a layer of his skin through his long sleeve swim shirt. Slides are fast and unsafe. Music also blaring...
