NOT DISABLED ACCESIBILE! Went to the store today and parked in the disability parking space because I cannot walk without a cane due to health problems. I have to be in and out within 15 min. Or Else I have to sit and rest for a minute. Most times I'm with someone that can push me in my wheelchair, but today I knew exactly where I was going and could quickly pickup the item and get to the register without too much stress on my body. I’m in the at-risk category for the COVID-19 due to my age and weakened body from my diseases. I have stayed home to protect myself. However, when I do have to get out I put on a medically approved face mask, use hand-sanitizer before going into any place and afterwards. Today when I was at the entrance that was closest to my handicap parking space I saw a sign that said “exit only”. I knew I would not make it through the store if I had to walk back out and down the other end of the store the “entrance”. So I proceeded in to the store anyways hoping they would excuse me and possibly help me. But....instead I get an employee who came running towards me and rudely telling me I have to go back out and come around through the other entrance. I asked if I could still come through because I could not walk all that way. She refused and sternly stated that “you just have to follow the rules mam.” At this point I was upset that they couldn’t even give me an exception due to my disability. I told her I would have gone around but I can’t walk that far. She just kept repeating “you just have to follow the rules mam.” I could not believe the temporary (and unknown to me) change in the entrances that they would not help a handicapped elderly person! What happened to humanity and kindness in the world! I will never shop at this store in Ogden, Utah ever again! This was not disabled accessibility to me!...

Read moreI recently visited Hobby Lobby to get weights for a pinewood derby car. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by an employee who asked if she could help me find anything so I told her what I needed and she pointed out large colorful posters hanging high on the back wall.
She pointed out one in particular that had a car on it and explained that I could follow the poster and it would lead me straight to the pinewood derby aisle. Pinewood derby AISLE?? I was so relieved that what I thought would be a long trip turned out to be a 5 minute trip. They had everything you could possibly want for a derby car.
