⭐️ Plastic. They use a lot of plastics. Plastics are the leading causes of cancer in America.
Most restraunts use cardboard for the simple fact it’s cheaper (also non toxic).
However y’all had so much styrofoam and plastic wrapping my food it was disgusting.
This is why you got one star. Your manager came out to see what’s wrong with my order (this is standard) but instead of excuse me sir, the first thing said was how are you bro or something.
I’m not your bro, I’m not your homie, I’m not your cuz.
Sir works well especially for a first time customer that’s coming to your restaraunt, from another state. So if you’re trying to be passive aggressive and insult me in an off the cuff manner at-least try and fight me if you’re gonna try force plastic poison on my food. 🤷🏾♂️That manager is literally twice my size. Inform that manager don’t make passive aggressive remarks to a person known for not having care or regard for persons such as yourself.
As I scrolled through your reviews about food and see the bad reviews on service mainly that means your manager is doing a poor job. Food smelled good. But if a person can’t even eat what you bring 🤷🏾♂️
Since it’s consistent it means the ownership has tried to make some changes but not effective ones. It’s ok to pay a company to manage what you cannot 🤷🏾♂️.
I literally ordered the most common basic thing in a bbq place a pulled pork sandwich. Meat was all wrapped in plastic no sauce on the meat.
The sauce was in another plastic container. The lettuce pickles and other topping vegetables ( I have never seen that for a pulled pork sandwich I have only seen onions as a topping sometimes pickles but never like a full burger toppings) were astride the plastic all stuffed into a styrofoam box.
It was packed nicely. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
(Plastic releases pthlates into foods when the plastic heats up [i.e.., hotfood]).
Styrofoam releases toxic gas when subjected to microwave radiation (your household microwave)
Styrofoam also off gases carcinogens that’s why it has that styrofoam smell. Also it leaches pthlates as well as other carcinogens into your food as well. 🥱
Fact I have to explain means ownership has maybe a hs diploma or a couple years at a juco before dropping out.
So when being disrespectful to a person whom comes into your restraunt is known for leaving reviews and has a social media following I don’t know try being not disrespectful.
You don’t have to be nice, you don’t have to be kind, you do need to be respectful or you will be disrespected. 🤷🏾♂️ even though you offer the food again, why would I come back.
Sometimes also your own staff causes a business’ demise. So tread carefully on your response but the main thing is if someone comes in to eat food we want food not food wrapped in plastic. Even for to go food no one wants plastic. Also the cardboard or paper products are also cheaper they also look...
Read moreTo say that Goodwood is the best BBQ on Earth doesn't overstate it enough. There could be parallel universes where all food is elevated barbecue and Goodwood would still be the best. God probably thinks about killing their chefs daily so that He can have access to their recipes and skilled hands. You heard that right, even heaven can't keep up with Goodwood's skills on the smoker. I got the Brisket, St. Louis Ribs, and Sausage. All three were absolutely divine. I have travelled all over the country eating barbecue, including Texas and Missouri and the fact stands that some restaurant in Utah isn't just better than the collective might of those states when it comes to BBQ... it absolutely humiliates them. The brisket was flavorful, smoky, and fresh. The ribs were tender, sassy, and lean. The sausage was a custom recipe hitting the perfect consistency while delivering a peppery delight to the tongue. The Mac and Cheese was strong, firm, and bursting with cheesy goodness. The potato salad was the type of recipe I've seen evil mobsters kill for. We finished with a sheet cake that I'm sure somebody sold their soul for. I'm not sure that such a dessert is possible using exclusively mortal ingredients. Somebody there has access to the immortal realm, that much is clear. Does this review seem over the top? It really isn't. As a travelling foodie that knows the ins and outs of award winning barbecue, I regret ever giving a blue ribbon out to anyone except Goodwood. They are unworthy to be mentioned in the same breath. I'll be looking for housing in the area so I can finally stop eating...

The reviews said 4.5/5 and it has $$ with its name. So I told my family “let’s go!” Only to get apprehensive when we got there.
Reception: on a real hot summer weather you’ll feel suddenly cold not because of the A/C but due to cold staff reception. There weren’t that many a diners about when we came. There wasn’t anyone on the front desk and when finally a person showed up there wasn’t a warm smile and hello. Maybe he was tired? I thought but no they’ve all the same flat affect and seemingly forced to interact to diners.
Food specialty: Meat. BBQ. Dear oh dear there were quite a few to choose from. We ordered the family style which said good for 5 to 6 people. We waited about 15 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived it was served and presented in a big party platter, meat on top of meat smothered with bbq sauce lots of them! I just lost my appetite! The meat was a combination of chicken, pork ribs and pulled pork that looked and tasted like leftovers! Dry, course and too salty. The side dishes were ok though.
My verdict: there’s nothing truly special about this place. It is a bbq restaurant simply that. I felt ripped having paid $80+ for the order. I figured My dog would not even eat that kind of low quality or poorly prepared meat so we left it despite staff telling us to have it boxed and take away. Meh. Never again! Sorry me. Two stars only just cause I’m kind like that seriously I don’t recommend this place. But that’s me. Your experience might be better if you go and try it yourself. 🤪let’s hope they serve...
