Rochester Farmers Market - Wednesdays Downtown! — Attraction in Rochester

I have always enjoyed this farmers market. I don't want to give a bad review. I think the produce is fresh, local, and fairly process. However, I was there today and went to get my weekly supply of Thai food kit from Pon's thai kitchen and was extremely disappointed that she has been, in her words, "banded." I understand the reasoning behind it, that the farmers market wants to offer only local produce and she was not doing that. She has brought a lot of business to this farmers market. I have seen her there for the last two years, selling the same thing. She always has a long line. Why is it not ok, now? The asparagus stand (early in the season)/garlic stand (later in the season) and Old Abe's Coffee are our favorite. Garlic is the best, and I can't get enough. There are some excellent vanilla and applesauce doughnuts, but the can't-miss stand is Old Abe's Coffee. It's tucked away a little bit, more so than last year, but the line is usually long. Wait. Really proud of the farmers here for growing wonderful varieties of food we can actually eat. There is always items you wouldn't be able to find at your store. I've visited several surrounding farmers markets and am most impressed with this one. The winter market is ok too, in the past its location wasn't the best (being in a wretched manure stank fairgrounds building) but it also added character.
