The Framer's Workshop — Attraction in Rochester

I've been a photographer most of my life. Sometimes professionally, sometimes as an advanced hobbyest. I'm retired now but occasionally take commissions. Recently my wife asked me to reprint some photos for a work colleague who fell in love with a large wall display of photos I did for a board room in her offices.

I took the photos to Alice. She immediately pulled the right frame sample off the wall for each of the prints I brought in - nailed it on the first try. She has an incredible eye for the right frame, matte, glass - the whole package.

These were large prints: 40" x 40" color canvas on a stretched frame up to a b&w print 70" x 30" and a three print series of b&w that were to hang next to each other. Her framing was impeccable. In the last 6 months she has framed 11 large prints for me. Everyone was meticulously done - perfect in every way, not to mention strikingly beautiful.

Even though print finishing was part of my training when I worked in a studio during my formative years, I wouldn't think of taking my prints to anyone else, much less frame them myself, even though I have a complete framing workshop in my home. If you want your prints done right - framed so you can be proud to hang them, I suggest you don't consider anyone else as...

I saw the five star reviews on here and wanted to pile on. This has become my new "GO TO". I used to go to Michael's with a coupon, and while they do a nice job too, now that I'm older and have art that i really CARE ABOUT, i wouldnt go anywhere else.

Someone said, "Her framing is IMPECCABLE" and I just want to say, "YES, What SHE said!". Amazing.

So many great options too - I tried this textured laminate over a poster I bought on the street in Florence Italy (for 5 euro!) that I wanted to hang in the bathroom over the TUB and this laminate stuff protects it AND shows off its inexpensive beauty. I mean, i am GIDDY over it.

The woman who owns and runs this shop is a true artist with her craft and I cannot say enough good things about her kindness and skill. Prices are entirely fair. (If you are paying less elsewhere, you are not getting a better "deal" and if that's what you're after, go to Michaels.*)

Very customer oriented. Had no problem in getting my special Fram arranged for my cat license plates. Looking forward to getting the finished product. This company completes your frames quickly and they look spectacular. Most photo framers do not carry the wide range of specifically photo framing materials like...
