EDIT 10/30 I find it comical Platoâs Closet is surprised by my review considering I found out they banned the girl who actually grabbed all the clothing from the rack they accused me of. Yet they have yet to apologize to me for how they treated me that day. Pure comedy banning someone for buying a lot of products from a small business who clearly needs the money. Also my brother bought Yeezys from there and they failed the eBay authenticity so beware of this store authenticity when selling products. Nonetheless, I wish them luck.đ
I was a long time customer of Platoâs closet for years. However ever since they started doing the âeventsâ things changed. It started with them saying you canât grab racks full of clothes at once, which makes zero sense because Iâm still buying from them and giving them money. Then they mentioned you canât get line if family or friend is saving you spot, when before numerous people would do that and they wouldnât say anything to them. At previous event, I was dishearten by how I was treated and called to speak to Dan the owner and I wanted to let him know about this and the âassistant managerâ Reese mentioned to me they donât care about my money, they care about fairness. Come to find out I had previously thought I was talking to another worker who has more experience, but that wasnât the case and I also found by another worker there they donât even have assistant manger. Ridiculous. Becca the manager reached out to me, and explained the rules they have and how itâs not fair to others when I grab things and look through them while they are hold. However if Iâm waiting at their event early and do my time waiting in line why shouldnât I be entitled to purchase what I grabbed? No other Platoâs that Iâve been to, does theses rules. At the last event they had this past weekend, I waited my time in line and was picking though rack and grabbed FIVE essentials fear of God clothing items. Mind you FIVE. I was in the dressing room and my fiancĂ© was outside the waiting room. When I heard Becca come into the dressing room and say âJenny are you in here?â & I said âyes why?â & she said âDid you grab the whole rack?â. I was baffled I had been accused of grabbing the whole rack when I had only grabbed FIVE items and another customer had grabbed the handful of Essentials sweatshirts and hoodies that were there, but of course they didnât get in trouble. I allowed Becca to look through my items and she told me she would watch the film. I told her thatâs fine because I knew I was being targeted and wrongfully accused. I asked if I was still allowed to check out my items and if she was going to watch the film to which she said âI donât have time to watch the films right now and we will be contactâ. Itâs been couple of days and no answer or apology for being wrongfully accused and treated. My fiancĂ© also overheard the workers talking bad about me and being disrespectful. Talk about unprofessional! Listen to the reviews about how they are unprofessional because they are and also the positive reviews from summer are because they did âwin it Wednesdayâ where they have you leave an honest review about there story in exchange to be entered to win $50 gift card so just keep in that mind. Iâm truly so disappointed about how I was treated by Platoâs since I went there for years and was loyal customer, however I will not tolerate to be targeted or disrespected. I will be taking my business and my money elsewhere.. & I recommend those of you to do the same because this store doesnât care about your money or your time.
P.S check out your Facebook post on the essentials hoodies that Becky left about how a boy and girl snatched them all up!!! But I grabbed the whole rack right? Lol...
   Read moreI do not recommend this place at all! I don't recommend supporting a company who could care less about its customers. The owners have shown they don't care as I've called several times seeking resolution of how their staff conducted business w me when I dropped off my stuff causing me to be stuck w a store credit and losing items they supposedly donated. They have yet to return my call. What I signed they didn't give me a copy of even though I asked. I was told I didn't need a receipt....I trusted them. Well, the receipt that customers sign has the terms on it. Without reading it, you won't know that if you don't pick up the clothes same day as drop off, they'll keep everything and supposedly "donate" what they don't keep the Very next day AND give a credit slip for what they do keep to spend in their store vs giving Cash. I went to pick up the next day not knowing it had to be picked up same day cause staff never said that and like I said I never received a receipt w their terms when I dropped off the stuff. The manager Becca is absolutely horrible in customer resolution... she could truly care less.... apparently it's the culture of their business as it all starts at the top. Pretty sad. EDITED TO RESPOND TO THEIR RESPONSE: I picked up the VERY NEXT DAY, as I stated in the review, not days later. To date, I STILL haven't received a return call from the owners after I called SEVERAL times for SEVERAL days. I guess it's easier to respond to a Google review w their lies than to speak to the customer to resolve. I sent a notice to BBB along w the text the store sent when I dropped off the stuff, which is probably why they added the terms to their texts, because they KNOW what I stated are FACTS. At that time they didn't have anything that was posted w/the pick up terms as they stated in their response. Hopefully they added their pick up terms as visibly as the other terms were on the entry door. And hopefully they now give receipts of what you sign when you drop stuff off instead of saying you don't need one. Trust me this is all about opportunity to improve and do better. Don't screw the very ppl who help your business stay in business. Learn to Appreciate...
   Read moreBrought two pairs of jordans barely worn (jordan 4 and retro og 1) and i get a text about 3 minutes later saying my buy was complete. I go in and the girl at the counter tells me "we cant give you an offer on the shoes because they have to be authenticated." Ummm HUH ? I have brought many shoes in the past and I have NEVER had anyone tell me that. Mind you she didnt even attempt to look at the shoes. She says her "manager" has to do it and she isnt in for the day. She tells me I have to have a receipt. I told her i have a digital receipt for each pair which I purchased online then she says her manager still has to be there because shes not sure how to do it. This company needs to have COMPETENT workers who can PROPERLY authenticate shoes! I should not have to wait for a manager nor be asked for a receipt. Not even sure why ask for a receipt when that may not even be the exact shoe (even though it was but it doesnt make sense when anyone can pull a receipt but doesnt mean its that exact shoe). In the past they have also turned me away for brand NEW name brand clothes never worn with tags (nike adidas champion fashion nova) due to them not being "in trend or in fashion" when people wear these brand clothes everyday!!! My clothes lookd better than the raggedy items on the shelves! They are cheap, lazy and will make any excuse not to give you an offer! STAY AWAY AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO DO BUSINESS...
