Rowlett Station — Attraction in Rowlett

When I first moved in this place was great. A few days after that, they switched management / sold and a whole new team took over. My billing has been wrong every single month since I moved in. Complaints go unanswered. Parties in the pool until well after midnight. These are the noisiest apartments I have ever lived in, so much so that I've had to purchase speakers to mount on my bed above me in the hopes that I can get some sleep. Quiet hours (per our lease) are from 10pm-7am, but NO ONE will be enforcing this at any point, so you may as well live it up! My upstairs neighbor sure does! I have not been sleeping here for over a week due to the noise - and continue to pay rent.

I will not renew here. The apartments are overpriced, the grounds are not maintained or cleaned, they are loud and cheaply built, they turn over staff like they're popcorn, they don't enforce their own rules (unless it comes to you wanting to leave, then they'll make sure to stick to their own rules), quiet hours are a suggestion, cars get broken into, gas gets siphoned, bikes get stolen from the lockers, dog park is filthy, bill is always incorrect, new fees show up at random, parties are held at the pool with dozens of unsupervised kids (there is a rule for only 2 guests per resident that also is not enforced)., management is retaliatory and constantly shifting in and out, I am currently unable to sleep in my unit because the dragging, banging and slamming above me at all hours of the night., the bbqs never have propane and one has been broken for months, the gym is constantly flooded during and after storms, my unit is constantly filled with insects, the police are here constantly, the courtesy officer does not seem to do anything for any resident I've spoken to. The security systems don’t work and the call boxes do not either. Parking for building 2 is brutal as the lot is very far.

When I first moved in people were incentivized to leave good reviews for gift cards (Sep/Oct 2022) - the current company (RPM) has not done this, but you can see since they took over, the reviews have dramatically shifted to the negative. I have refrained from leaving this review under the guise that management would be helpful... As it turns out, my worst experience thus far has been with the regional manager of RPM living, Chelsea.

I will update this review if and when things are solved, but until then, the public should know my experience.

As promised - updating my review. I can really tell they are trying to improve things. lots of communication going out regularly. Patrick has been very helpful. I will not renew, but I can tell the new management is taking things seriously and I really hope this place continues to improve.

Well, Patrick also left or got fired - so whatever agreements he made to keep some of us happy are now out the window.

You are seriously risking your health and safety and well being moving in here. Please head my warning, I'm not...

Where do I start with this place:

1 First of all, there are some very rude and threatening neighbors in the building. They will watch you as you walk your dog and scream at you for no reason. The hallways always smell like pee, and the safety signs are always falling. One time an exit sign, fell on my head, and I reported to them, and they didn’t even acknowledge it. It got fixed a couple of days later. Also, there was what appeared to be a leak in my living room and they just painted over it. I didn’t know much about leaks at the point, but later learned that was a really bad sign of something wrong, especially over winter weather.

There’s no parking. You have to register to park in the street. If you come home late, you have to walk really far home, and lately there have been a lot of activity of homeless individuals and some sketchy people around. My neighbor even told me someone tried getting into his apartment. Every time I would come home, I would run really fast and scared.

I had an item stolen from my home and I reported it to police and management. I sent 3 emails and more than 3 calls to the office and nobody responded. The only people with access was maintenance to fix a maintenance request I had. When I met with the manager she stated that she didn’t read the emails and nobody informed her. I also asked her to inform the community, so they could know and be on alert, and she said that she couldn’t do that. This item posed a great safety risk to however stole it and that left me baffled. There’s also a police report and nobody knew or cared to look.

After moving out, I received a statement so outrageous that I emailed them countless times to revise it. From a new water filter for the fridge for the new resident to use, to water usage per unit, even though, I was no longer physically living in the home. They bill per unit and not usage, so that’s important to keep in mind. You’re paying for someone else’s usage.

I also got charged for trash and other items that were unlawful and nowhere in the lease, including the trash, which I paid as valet trash and water filter. There was nothing in the lease agreement.

Last but not least, the former resident care team, always replies by saying all the charges are validated without even doing the research. In addition to that, they never call or respond.

My last resort was to submit a BBB complaint and see if they respond. It’s really sad that they are trying to do this to me as for reporting the incident (which is my duty as a concerned citizen for other’s lives). Before this, they didn’t have an issue with me being a resident. Even with all the different...

I was planning on leaving my review when we moved out but I've absolutely had it with this place...They are making us live in an ant ridden apartment for 4 days and that could turn into 5 because he said they may get to us Tuesday or Wednesday, they can't tell me a day. I came home to my apartment Saturday afternoon with ants on my walls ants all over the floor, and my poor service animal went to lay in her bed as soon as we came home once I had the chance to walk to the living room area I noticed she was laying in her bed covered with ants!! She has bites all over her, I feel so bad because there is absolutely nothing we can do, because we can afford to stay In a hotel because we just paid rent the day before and they charged us for pest control when we never even used it before until we needed it the next day how ironic... They have all kinds of hidden fees that they don't tell you about when you move in and they amount you pay goes up every month from different fees. We are paying more for trash then our own water bill!! How ridiculous is that! The dog park is so full of poop, you can smell it from your balcony, and your dog will step in it because it is everywhere...when we first moved in the apts where very dirty, recently tho the cleaning lady has started to clean more which is good, especially since ya know we pay rent. Just also wanted to warn ⚠️ of the false advertising they do for their first floor plan on their website its says its a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom, when you show up they inform you that it's their studio. And the one drawer you have in the kitchen can't even fit a silverware divider, you literally have to keep them on the counter, just so happens ants get there too!! If we could move out now we would, unfortunately we are stuck here until December when our lease is up... Every person I've talked to that lives here aren't happy, our friends that live in the other building told us their elevator has been broken since they moved there 3 months ago, also wanted to mention the maintenance will enter your apartment with or without your permission and not even give you a notice that why where there! Another situation we had was my husband left his key in the apartment and ran to the store he came back and he was locked out!! The maintenance man noticed my husband was walking back and went there to let him in... if he wasn't locked out we would have never known they where in our apartment because they left no notice! If you want to be miserable in your life I definitely recommend these...
