I'm not a regular Macy's shopper, but my sister & I decided to use their restroom because Lane Bryant doesn't allow their shoppers to use their restroom. Meanwhile, once we were finished with the ladies restroom at Macy's, us sis-ta's decided to stroll around in the women's clothing section. Noticed 40+% discount sales. We were searching for capri's & other items. WOW! Did we score. We found capri's in wide selection is style & color. Even in the women's petit section we found sizes, style & color that fit beautifully. So my sister learned that Petit Women Plus sizes are the same as Women Plus sizes. The sizes are the same, it's just the cut in length that's different based on your hieght.
For example, we were searching for capri's that the length would fall 4 inches below the knee. The women's plus sizes Capri length was longer & didn't appear as a true Capri. So we looked at the Petit Women Plus sizes & what an awesome surprise. The length was what we were looking for plus the style & color options were better. Very satisfied in our Capri selections from the Petit Women's section. Mind you, our average heights are between 5.5-5.7 & our waist/hip sizes are between L-XL. So ladies, be sure to check out the Petit Women Plus sizes if you can't find what you're looking for in the Women's Plus sizes.
Then we moved over to the sandle shoe section, which neither of us were successful in finding pair of sandles. So we moved over to the perfume section. I found my most favorite perfume "Youth Dew" by Estee Lauder. I was able to purchase the desired Youth Dew selections. The sales clerk notified me about their special promotional sale, when it starts & how I could take advantage of the sale. So I was able to make a purchase order & have it mailed to me during the promotional sale time frame. In addition, i saved some money & they accommodated me with a mini bottle sampler of youth dew to get me through until receipt of purchase order. I'm now on their mailing list & will be notified on future products. Macy's staff were professional, knew their pricy & fun to work with. Sorry Lane Bryant, but my sis-ta & I scored at Macy's with Capri's & Perfume. Grateful.
Afterwards, we went back to Lane Bryant to Bra shop, etc. They had 50% discount sale. I scored 3 beautifully fitted Bras & had one Bra shipped to me because they didn't had the desired color in store. FREE shipping works for me. My sister couldn't find any Capri's or sandles at Lane Bryant. Macy's store at Arden Fair Mall appeared to finally lower their prices for the average budget shoppers. Keep your prices affordable & we'll revisit.
We then walked over to BJ's during Happy Hour. You don't have to order alcoholic beverages to enjoy HAPPY HOUR. BJ's at Arden Fair Mall is one of the nicest places to enjoy food & beverage with your guests. Check their Happy Hour.
Lots of parking at the Arden Fair Mall. They have security driving around in...
Read moreBought a very nice dress shirt for a wedding. When we got home it did not match my wife's dress, so we did not even try it on. My wife went to return it within 1 week of purchase. Had the receipt. Was in a very good mood. Then she goes to the register and had the worst customer service experience ever. We had a "Karen" type of experience... this young lady on a power trip of sorts. Her job is to process returns. At first she did not want to do the return because one of the tags was on the wrong button. Keep in mind, we are returning it in the same exact condition we bought it in. After much, "conversation" my wife calls me in to help her deal with this "Karen". (Sorry, I don't remember her name, but Karen seems to fit). I get there as my wife is asking for a manager. This young lady calls someone and says, "oops, I dialed the wrong number, hehe". All the while, talking to the other employees, wasting our time and getting us more upset. When she gets someone, she tells them about the tag on wrong button... some more back and forth. Then she tells the person on phone, "fine, I'll do it". She tells us, in the most annoyed tone, that her manager said it's ok to do the return. Usually that's it, done with the back and forth, just process the return, right? Instead she is rolling her eyes, making extremely rude and condescending remarks about "doing this return, this one time"... as though we do this all the time, and she's doing us a favor. And, she keeps it up to the point that now we are asking to talk to the manager in person. Again with the eye rolls and phone call and back and forth with coworkers... then she does this hand motion thing and says, "you need to wait over there"... I almost wanted to come over the counter... but I did not. When the manager did arrive, we were very upset at this young lady now, we tried not to show it or blow up. The manager, to her credit apologized and said she would review the video footage of this encounter. For the sake of retail busines please do a better job of teaching and training those that are your front lines people. They will turn customers away or...
Read moreHonestly haven't had too much of an issue getting perfumes/colognes here before…but yesterday i was met by such short, crude, senseless, and unprofessional, immature behavior. I was first being helped by this women in her mid 30s who seemed very kind but honestly kept having me smell things that were completely opposite of what i said i was used to wearing, and what i said i was looking for. Then she sent me over to this much older lady. Im assuming maybe a manager or supervisor? She was sort of nice but pushy. Again i was shown scents that were flowery and fresh, when i specifically said i wanted something warmer and more like a caramel or vanilla. Besides the point…she was having trouble assisting me and i could tell she was growing frustrated so i told her id just like to get a bottle of the original Hood Girl…thats my go to….and i asked how much they were selling them and she gave me a price that was close to almost $200. I am a frequent buyer of this product…id say once ever 4-5 months. And i have NEVER (besides maybe the first time i bought it 4 years ago…but since then i always paid about $100-$125 for the bottle. I was a bit taken a back by the price and simply asked why it was so expensive. I also informed her that i have NEVER paid that much for that bottle in years. Her attitude changed to snobby and started to make me feel like i was not worth helping or too broke, and even a hint of, “this kid doesn’t know anything” sort of vibe. She then said “Good luck in finding it cheaper somewhere else”…and i said thank you i will. In a similar tone and walked away. It was just unprofessional and seemed like she hated her job. If you were a manager or someone in a similar position, i think you need some retraining done. I could have been a karen but i was nothing but kind and patient with all of you. My issue wasnt as much with the price anymore, it was your bitterness and lack of understanding and patience. Sorry youre life is stuck in the fragrance section in a...
