Definitely Haunted!!! I’ve visited this place maybe once or twice for a tour-the entire time we lived in Saint Augustine because family would come visit and wanted to see all the attractions. We were getting ready to relocate to another area I think it was the begging last month but thought we would grab a bite to eat one last time in down town Saint Augustine. I’ve tried to wrap my head around what I saw that night but it makes me sound crazy. It was about 9:30 or 10:30pm we were walking back to our car when we passed by the old gate that has the cannon ball. For some reason I felt a little uneasy see I am someone who has social anxiety and I always get that feeling when I’m around new people but for some reason I was in a rush to go. I look up and I noticed a black Silhouette it was a women? Standing close to we’re the cannon ball and the big bolder is she look to have been wearing a bonnet and a long dress. I asked my husband did you see the women she was standing right there I think the entire time but I first looked at the wall with the cannon and then I noticed her standing there and I asked his mom who was also having dinner with us as well. I felt like we were peaking in and were about to get in trouble so that’s why I hurried them along and I get nervous with new people. They looked at me an said, What women?? There was nobody there. I just thought to myself It must have been an actor for the ghost tour but that late No way and I also remember if it was an actual person why couldn’t I make out the face but I just saw a silhouette no face and the fact that my husband and his mom and I were all looking in the same direction at the same time and I’m the only one who saw it. So if your looking to visit a actual haunted place this is definitely it. I will never...

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff brought to life the long history of this centuries-old house. In addition to the house itself, we enjoyed exploring their small museum of the house's history, a life-sized replica of a typical kitchen structure, statuary art from the 1893 Columbian Expo, a second museum with large reproductions of numerous ancient maps and navigational tools, and a gift shop. It did become uncomfortably warm inside the house because they had the windows closed, which otherwise would have served to cool the house back in the day by allowing the ocean breeze to flow through the second floor of the house. A portable air conditioner unfortunately did nothing except provide a loud background noise, making it more difficult to hear the tour guide's...

It closes very early, so I suggest you plan accordingly. Closing is 05:00 pm. Entrance fee is 26 &. If you buy a family package (Mother-Father and one child), I think it is a bit expensive. You can spend half an hour to an hour depending on your examination and interest. First of all, a mini museum about the history of Florida welcomes you at the entrance. You leave there and start touring the inside of the house. Old items are also exhibited in the two-story structure. However, not all the items from when it was lived in have been preserved. You can see this from the old photos. After visiting the house, I suggest you visit the garden in detail. I also suggest you pay special attention to the flags hanging in the house. There is also a map room outside, it is useful to look at it while you are there. You can visit the 'Surf Museum' before leaving and add memories to your memories with beautiful photos. Enjoy. 🤓

Keyfiniz...

My wife and I always appreciate the history associated with St Augustine. The oldest house Museum was great experience with knowledgeable staff. I’ve been by this house multiple times but never went in to explore. Glad I decided to because it was a great experience. The tour was not long either so it won’t mess up any other plans you have for the day either. Bring water with you as certain parts of the house can be warm due to amount of people or time of day but as I said the tour is not too long. Would recommend this place for families or couples.
