The Well Bar — Restaurant in Florida

The Well is a tiny but high end bar in the Collector Inn compound. Note that it is only for the guests of the Inn but you can often (but not always) get in for a cocktail if they are not too busy. The place is just awesome. They only seat six at the bar and maybe another 10 or so at the tables. They do have some outdoor seating.

I highly recommend this place but don’t build an evening around going there if you are not a guest of the Inn as you are not assured of getting in. They make craft cocktails that are on par with the top bars in St Aug. I had the Blueberry Smash which is a refreshing summer gin drink that was not too sweet. My lovely wife had a Spritz drink but we can’t recall the official name. Still, she very much enjoyed it.

I guess we snuck in, oops...I didn't realize this was for guests only. Either way, we only stopped by for a cocktail and Alan was incredibly hospitable and knowledgeable. We had a painkillers and a mai tai on a rainy day and it was just the perfect contrast. The property is absolutely beautiful and I will definitely be looking into staying on property...

We were not staying at the hotel but wanted to try it after reading some positive reviews. It is a quaint little spot with wonderful cocktails! Amanda was a great mixologist (and conversationalist) and really helped shape the great experience. We will definitely be back next time we’re in St Augustine! (And next time, we’ll stay at...
