A cool experience but could be better. We got there early to enjoy St Pete’s a little before the tour. When we called to ask where to park they seemed bothered that we were calling them. They texted us directions for parking. Either pay $25 to park right where you launch or park up the street at a bank for free and walk 35 minutes to the launch. We chose the bank for free parking, only to arrive and see signs posted everywhere that they will tow for unauthorized parking. We left the car there and walked thinking it wouldn’t be that far. Ended up walking to the meet up spot and back to the car because we were afraid of it getting towed. Paid for parking after wasting an hour walking back and forth. Additionally, we got there 30 minutes early only to wait another 15 minutes after 8pm scheduled time kayak. I understand the limited parking but seems like they should give you a heads up before booking the tour. They initially said that 18 people max per tour. There were 30 people on our tour. I expected for that price to be in my own kayak but was told I would be sharing with my husband, which I don’t mind, but for the price I feel like I should have been given a choice. Maybe charge per kayak instead of per person
The tour was cool. They give you fish food and it was cool to see all the catfish swarm your kayak. Going under the Delgado bridge with it all lit up was spectacular. But another downside was their "conference call" for the guide. Basically you join a conference call so if you're far away from the guide, you can still hear them. This causes a delay between the actual speaker and the phone audio. People had their phones REALLY loud, and the combination of multiple phones plus the actual speaker made it very hard to hear and ruined any ability to hear the speaker unless you were right next to them. I guess you could bring headphones, just seemed not well thought-out. I am on vacation and have been taking pictures and videos, getting directions all day by 8 pm my phone is almost dead. There was no calling in for me so really I had no idea what was going on most of the trip. Also the kayaks are not glass bottom, they are clear plastic and scratched up. Still cool but again, a minor difference compared to what they imply on their...
Read moreA cool experience but could be better. Went to the St. Pete location for nighttime tour with lit up kayaks. They texted us directions for parking. Either pay $25 to park right where you launch or park up the street at a bank for free and walk 15mins to the launch, or park at public beach parking lot, pay, and walk 20mins. We chose the bank for free parking, only to arrive and see signs posted everywhere that they will tow for unauthorized parking. Didn't want to risk it and didn't have time to go to the cheaper beach parking lot and walk 20mins so had to go and pay $25 for the nearest parking. I don't mind walking so the proximity for $25 was definitely not worth it. On top of that, when we left, the price was actually $29. The kayak tour was already kind of pricey so the added cost made it more expensive that I felt was worth it. Additionally, we got there at the scheduled time, only to wait another 15-20mins to kayak. I could've parked at the cheaper beach parking lot. I understand the limited parking but seems like they should give you a heads up before booking the tour.

Cool tour. I think they should increase the price and make it so parking is taken care of. I'm ok paying for parking if I know about it, but it doesn't say anything on their website and a text describing the options AFTER booking isn't the best idea. Also the kayaks are not glass bottom, they are clear plastic and scratched up. Still cool but again, a minor difference compared to what they imply on their...
Read moreWe did the 8pm tour from St. Petersburg’s this week while on vacation. First - I gave it 2 stars because the actual tour was nice - the guide did a decent job and we enjoyed ourselves but it was nothing special.
Lack of communication was the biggest and most frustrating part. I signed up for the 8pm tour (on the website it made it seem like there was an 8pm and a separate 8:30pm tour). I got a text a few hours before saying to arrive at 8:15 and the location. I responded to confirm the time since I had signed up for the earlier tour and no response back. We arrived at the 8:15 time as asked and they had just started unloading kayaks. We did not launch into the water until after 9 and did not start kayaking out until after 9:20 - way later then the 8pm start time I signed up for. During this there was no communication was to if they were running behind or even an apology. Also during loading and unloading people into kayaks there were no instructions given or too many words spoken. People were slipping on the boat launch because they didn’t know what was going on because they weren’t told. A good safety briefing was given before going onto the kayaks. As said, the tour itself was nice, but nothing special. You kayak out about 200-300 yards to the bridge and the catfish follow you to where you can feed them. You see a lot of fish and pelicans on the way which is cool and then turn around and go back. The catfish are trained to see the boats and follow you which is fun. Some kayakers lights stopped working and some people couldn’t connect to the conference call which is where all the instructions and tour info was given. And it was advertised as glass bottom kayak tour but it is more a plastic bottom kayak tour and the plastic was a little scratched. A felt as though a little bait and switch happened with the website claims and the actual tour. I feel leaving a negative review as I feel the young adults running the tour were not set up for success. Overall I wouldn’t recommend to someone...
