Over the years, Artist Herb Mackey transformed his yard into a wonderland of recycled metal sculptures and creations, very imaginative and unique. It's his family now keeping his legacy alive. Please remember that this is a private residence! All sculptures are visible from the street. As the sign says, they are not for sale.

Cool hidden gem in Salem. Walking distance from the commons. Take a walk, for a change of scenery. Beautiful views of the bay. You are able to see so much of it from the street, adjacent parking lot. Enjoy the work of a fellow human. What talent and vision.

A very unique yard located near the Brewer Hawthorne Cove Marina. It looks like a lifetime of art made from found or reclaimed objects. Very cool. I only visited at night, so I could not explore but from outside the gate.

Very interesting place! Every corner has a surprise! All artwork is creative and it is fun seeing how everyday things have been turned into sculptures! We didn't know if it was open bc there was no signage with hours so we quietly "trespassed"! Be sure to walk around the outside of the property, too, more...

PROS: Very unique place to visit. If you like metal fabrications or art of any kind this place is a nice stop. You're allowed to walk around the property

CONS: the artist is nowhere to be found and the place is unorganized
