An incredible community at City Tribe Church. A few years back - I arrived at the 8:30 AM service with someone I had just met, who had invited me to join them. By God's grace, I believe this was His plan all along. A few years later, City Tribe Church feels like home to me.

Read moreI was in town for a conference and wanted to check out a local church. It’s pretty predictable if you’ve been part of a Christian Church before. If you’re a guest, expect to be swept with the crowd. I went to the 8:30 am service and it was packed- I got there around 8:15 and no one talked to me, or said hello (which, if you’re not a Christian that might be appealing because you can sneak in and out without having to talk to anyone). They have all the bells and whistles of a modern church. Their musicians are supremely talented - expect an off-the-charts worship experience. The pastor goes quickly, in a good way. He doesn’t belabor a point or get side tracked. He is intelligent and relatable. Everything is coordinated and the congregation is incredibly welcoming (they “offer peace” where people are forced to say hello to each other. If it weren’t for that no one would have said a word to me). At the end you’re not encouraged to fellowship because there’s another service right after. The doors of the auditorium open directly to the sidewalk where you just leave. If you’re curious about the gospel or about church in general, I’d say this would be a great experience for you. If you’re looking to connect deeper, it’ll be up to you, in my experience. They’re very nice, but you need to initiate the connection if you’re looking to...
Read moreIt’s a great little cozy church. I used to attend City church Bandera, but I recently moved and the downtown church is much closer to me. I was a little worried at first that it wouldn’t be the same amazing services, music, and overall ambience. I was wrong. This place is cute. It was an old theatre back when horses roamed the streets (I don’t know if that’s true). The decor is industrial and hip so it really makes anyone comfortable. The services are really good too. These City Church pastors are very good at what they do. It seems like every time I go to church with an issue on my mind, it’s like the service and message was made just for me. Everything is so relevant, it’s uncanny. So needless to say, I always go to church for perspective. This place is REALLY small compared to the Bandera location, but it’s really nice. If you happen to be in the area, or if you’re seeking some guidance, I would absolutely recommend...
