Horrible management severely lacking all areas basic customer service. Manager doesn’t have a single sense of hospitality. When I checked in the hotel, no one stated that no visitors are allowed, not even people not staying overnight with no No exceptions and if violated is grounds to being forced to leave. First night no issues. 9 :00 am 2nd day out of town Friends came over while they figured out their lodging arrangements. Hotel location being kinda sketch, offered them to bring their belongings in. Stepped out to get some refreshments. Not 20 mins later friend called informing me Patel the hotel manager said she called the cops and whoever wasn’t on reservation will be arrested for trespassing. Immediately, Contacted manager to receive a constant disrespectful, condescending tone. Manager repeatedly insisting, forcefully, stating the policy of no visitors allowed in room was broken she was kicking me out. Spoke to Non emergency 911 & dispatcher offered to send a cop saying if called, officer would insist had a right until reservation was up, After that then I’d be trespassing. Only wanted a refund but Manager laughed, refused, while saying mockingly she’s keeping the money. Let me put me next words into context. I am transgender. First arriving at hotel appearance was male. Then service was no issue. Once I was seen presenting as a female ,the reception was 100% the opposite. Can only speculate true reason I was kicked out was discrimination. Only assuming based off manger actions as well as her having confessed she was surveilling us the whole time from the moment my company arrived. One of whom was also trans. First, based off her saying she was watching the camera, can only assume she saw me leave. Which is when she chose to address her no visitor policy violation, Once me, whose name the room had stepped out. Opting to not address with me at all before taking action. nor the respect to speak face to face. Not even the decency to allow fir explanation my visitors were not staying more than a hour. Instead, it was only was a spiteful tone as well as her unsympathetic ear. Only thing she kept repeating on my attempts to clarify, was she did not care my situation. She is going to assume whatever she wants regardless, As well as keeping my money. When asked to see where this policy is stated she replied ultimately, its Her policy to decide whatever she wants is policy. Her unprofessionalism left me feeling humiliated. Her bullying way of addressing her issue, as will her actions. Was very obvious She did not want me there. I can surmise her true reasons for handling how she did was due to her not liking transgender folk. Most upset scammed me out my money. I’m surprised a hotel San Antonio allows this kind of behavior to occur towards guests. Coming from a manager even worse. This is pretty sad city view inn. Stayer beware this place will judge and discriminate as they chose and remove you based off their personal prejudices and assumptions. As well as kick you out under the guise of policy violations. 100% do...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at this hotel that we chose last minute because there was a show going on downtown we had tickets to attend. When we entered the room it smelled stale like old dirty air and the room felt moist. We ignored this because we didn’t plan on staying in the room long just sleeping in there. Our night goes on we stay. Then after check out we notice we got a $100 charge for something extra. There wasn’t any extra condiments in the room we used..we didn’t not vandalize the room or do anything we were not suppose to do on the room. For the room to be $197 for a view of the small price of the San Antonio tower and a wall..was not worth it at all..room was literally super small you could barely breath in there. When we asked the hotel clerk why we were charged $100 extra they said it was because we had smoked in the room. We did not smoke in the room. The room is so small I don’t even know why anyone would want to smoke in such a small room. The workers discriminated against us and ASSUMED we smoked in the room due to there be tobacco trash..not ashes..trash..that we left in the trash can..trash that we had removed from our car. So it was assumed smoking was done in the room. Which is t right. There wasn’t a sign that said please do not throw your tobacco trash in our trash cans. It just said no smoking in the room. The hotel clerk was very rude and so sure that we smoked in the room..with no proper evidence. We were not disrespectful at all..that is not in my nature. We were also called racial slurs by the workers. We are an African American couple. The establishment is ran by Hispanics. Such a shame with all that’s going on in the world today. So I scream to anyone considering staying in at this hotel...PLEASE DON’T. These people do not deserve your...
Read moreThe rooms are fairly decent since the hotel seems fairly new. The lobby is extremely small with a couple of chairs and the front desk. The location is about a block from the train station downtown and close to other downtown attractions. Having said this, the management of the place leaves very much to be desired. I called well in advance for a reservation. While talking to the young lady on the phone, I mentioned that my wife and I would be arriving around 6:00 AM on the train and simply wanted a place to sleep and shower after the train ride. We would be checking out around 3:00 PM. Knowing that most hotels check in around 2:00 PM and out by 11:00 AM the next day, I distinctly asked if there would be any additional charges for the off time of check in and check out we required. She assured me there would not be and that they would be more than happy to accommodate us. When we arrived, the desk clerk was hesitant to even commit to our reservation and then insisted we pay additional charges. He called his manager and then quoted us $50 additional charge. When I refused and told him what the young lady had stated, he told us he would lower the overcharge to $20 and would probably get in trouble with the manager. I once again refused and stated I would find other accommodations. He shrugged his shoulders and indicated we could take it or leave it. We were extremely tired and had a major social engagement later in the day, it was raining and we had several suitcases so finally agreed to the $20 overcharge. I believe this is very close to a “bait and switch” used by conmen. I would not recommend staying here unless you want to risk overcharges and indifferent staff. I’m checking my credit card statement daily to assure no additional...
