SEPHORA — Attraction in San Antonio

I have been a sephora customer for a very very long time, specifically this sephora! So much so that the employees that have been there for a long time know me! Very recently I went in to sephora with my husband and was at the register to checkout and the male employee that was checking us out was absolutely flirting with my husband, while I was standing right there! We didn’t say anything just thanked him and went about our day. Right before we go to check out there was another male employee standing at the door greeting guests and very publicly checking every guy out top to bottom and making a “I’m available” face even though they were standing next to their significant others! That put a very very bad taste in my mouth! Unprofessional and rude! I don’t care about their personal life but I would want them to stay professional in their respectful jobs! So I went in again this week was just looking around the store and swatching makeup a male employee was just lurking around me as if IM about to steal even though I had a basket full of things, so probably by third or fourth time I saw him and I asked if they have the shade of a lipstick I wanted available he looked at me up and down as if im poor like “are you sure you want to buy that” look as if it’s not in my budget! I get very very anxious in public especially in very crowded places so I was trying to get whatever I wanted and leave as fast as possible but the way he looked at me in a disgusting way I just took whatever he gave me and went to the register. I don’t know what has happened to the old sephora employees but these new employees are completely unprofessional. Also there is one girl that UNFORTUNATELY whenever I seem to want a product she is the one that would be coming to “help” yet no help comes from her! On the sephora website it shows products are available yet every time she doesn’t seem to find them! Why? Because shes too tired to be looking for them through the products in the drawers. The same day that happened the girl helped me with a lipstick which she said they don’t have it in stock, So I decided to call sephora at the Rim because that was a birthday gift and it was important to me to purchase it they said that sephora at la cantera has it and it shows that in their inventory it says that they have 5 left! But when I was there and she was “helping” me she said oh let me check our inventory I dont know if she did because it took her probably 2 seconds to tell me “no we dont have it our inventory shows 0”. I never leave any type of reviews especially bad ones because I know it hurts a business and maybe that day was a bad day for me but this has been going on and on so unfortunately I had to. I will not be shopping at this sephora or if I will it will definitely be online pick up only! No thanks. Put a extremely bad taste...

My experience in store was amazing. I got skin care products and even had my makeup done for a special occasion. I never really wear makeup so I was starting from scratch. I told the makeup artist I intended to purchase all the items used which totaled several hundred dollars. However I had issues with my bank thinking it was fraudulent purchase (again I never purchase makeup) so I ended up purchasing $300 worth of products instead of all of them. I was assured all items would be saved in my profile so that I could purchase them after I rectified the situation with my bank. Fast forward a week and I was ready to purchase all the rest of the items in addition to a full face of products for my sister. However when I went to the store signed in to my profile, none had been saved. I was so sad and disappointed. I had no need to get my makeup redone, so I ended up only purchasing items that were suggested. However they dont look flawless as when we applied the tutorial make-up in store. I really like what she used as it was light on my skin since I'm old. I feel like the items suggested were for a young person with less creases. I can not rate the 5 stars I originally wanted to give because again nothing had been saved, and I really feel the store missed out on good business, and I missed out on an attainable beauty experience for date nights and parties. This easily could have been a 1 star review, however Audrianna (sorry if I misspelled) fixed my experience here and saved my make up for my engagement shoot! I scheduled myself a lash appointment. The girl who I originally had was pretty quiet and got to work without introducing herself, but I just let it slide because eh. She begins to apply the lashes and it takes 2 trials to attempt to put on the eyelashes and overall it was poor application, no instructions really given, and she seemed to not know what she was doing almost. So when she asked if she could do the 3rd attempt I told her politely I would rather stop because there was glue all over my R eyelashes. She said sorry but didn’t really appear apologetic/sorry. I asked to speak to someone because she basically left me for the wolves attempting to take all the glue off. BUT I met Audrianna and she was the nicest and calming part of being in there! She not only put on the eyelashes perfectly but she fixed my make up (because I was crying bc stressed af… like how embarrassing lol) and made me look brand new and I left a happy customer!
