I haven't shopped at this particular Goodwill (not much of a thrifter, though I should be more of one to help the environment and not be lured into the capitalist system of an endless demand for new goods), but this place has been a godsend as I've been cleaning out my home in a panic, trying to make space before my man moves in (Yay, it's getting serious!).

I had originally intended to bring my pre-loved items to Father Joe's Villages in Hillcrest, but their donation hours were ridiculously limited, so I ended up going to Goodwill. They accept donations until 5 p.m., which is extremely helpful when you've been cleaning out your house all day and want to drop off donations later in the afternoon. The security guard and the staff at Goodwill are so friendly! It really brightened my day to be helped by them after having been turned away with a shrug at Father Joe's Villages.

On my second trip to Goodwill, I was able to take a quick look around while waiting for a cart on which to load my donations, and they have some really cute stuff! Obviously, clothing will always be the main items sold, but they also had an adorable Star Wars display near the front with several Grogu items (baby Yoda, if you or your kids are looking for that), along with other characters. There was a comic-type display with Pikachu and comic book character figurines and clothing, and a nice book collection, too. I saw lots of baskets and vases in the back, so you can find home goods, too. I didn't look at pricing, but this is a fun little place to check out, and it's a great place to...

I got a real problem the good will is way to close to me, it's becoming my favorite bad habit, I have saved so much compared if I went to a regular store, now I can't stop thinking about how much I saved, the manager Marie is very fair, I had a situation where I stuck up for a homeless person only wanting to check their belongings at the check out area where a casheer told them to leave their clean not dirty cooler on wheels I explained they could loose all their worldly possessions where this casheer told me to leave, really? so the manager Marie was very neutral and fair and actually listened to my side, that was a pleasent surprise, when she saw I was only sticking up for a down and out homeless person, she said I was welcome back anytime, as she saw I was a good customer, probably have seen me many times, and I told the manager I will not tolerate clean homeless people being trashed, and Marie understood my position, I have saved so much by buying at...

DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! They are cheaters. This place is a waist.

They are just a bunch of rich famous people trying to use you push their overpriced leftover /brands and medical FRAUD/ torture unwanted medical scam and bank fraud games. --Claiming to be " happy" because they are taking advantage of you. Employees here appeared to act polite however, I put things at the front counter that I really wanted to buy and told them I was going to purchas the items and once again they removed thems. Another item I said I was going to buy they took away.

I tried to buy a similar item --brand new at the convention center but I didn't work.

They have a do not return policy.

You have to clean everything and wash items before you use them -- not worth it.

If you have sensitivity to dirt it could be an issue.

This place is more expensive than some new retail stores.. More $ down the...

Info from visit 2017 Oct. 30. Small store, seems well organized. Limited small stock selection compared to other larger stores. Seemed mostly clothes. Has small dedicated parking lot, a few spaces, in front of store. Store ID - RS14. Policy from purchase receipt - "No refunds. No returns. Merchandise sold as-is. No warranties." (Receipt date 2017 Oct. 30.) (Other stores may have same or better policies, check per store.) I browsed store & purchased books. Small book selection, on 3 narrow width & tall bookcases. Organized. Very low cost, in case you find something you may want. (Other stores listed as Goodwill bookstores will have larger selection. Most Goodwill stores I've been to have at least a few books.) Has a separate donation receiving door & hours, in building to left side of store front. Has a driveway to the receiving door (for easier drop off with vehicle).

I give it a 5 stars to this store !! The cashiers are very nice and helpful they also have to deal with homeless that just go to shoplift . The store is clean , well displayed organized and well restocked. They have reasonable prices on name brands. Don’t listen to the bad reviews of customers that couldn’t get away with cheap items if you want a discount enroll in the VIP program . Some customers don’t understand this is a non profit organization that provides employment they have to educate and read about it’s mission. I think you will love this store and you will find super great items for a reasonable price that it’s much cheaper then going to Nordstrom or getting it. New from a retail store , here you will get it for a better price . Also understand wages have been going up and everything is expensive. Coming to a thrift store will save you money.

Every time I get a chance I'll go to the nearest Goodwill have some other Goodwill I like to do I have one that's in imperial Beach to San Diego one that is the downtown when I just meant you and I'm down here in Chula Vista it's the biggest one in the biggest one of them all it's huge. I usually go into Goodwill looking for clothing for work black pants wore t-shirts to wear jeans I love the real section only have the new junk pile nobody ever buys just look at it through it back you have dishes pots and pans silverware tableware everything and you could possibly want stores that I like my stores one is the one down at Chula Vista is the biggest one of them!
