Horrible customer service experience! Placed an order online for multiple items, made specifications on the burgers due to ordering for different people and everyone wants something different. My husband and I walked over around 1pm but we knew the order wouldn't be ready until after 1:25pm but I wanted to confirm if the order was placed to go. One of the girls walks up and pretty much has a snarl on her face and she looks pained to answer a question relating to the order. Went back around 1:35 and the same snarl was given when I gave my name for pickup. Got back to our spot on the beach and took out our food to notice they were wrong. Cheese where there shouldn't be and no coleslaw given when asked for on burger or on the side. When I called in to talk to the manager, the girl on the phone said he wasn't available and to just leave the message. I was pretty much told they were busy so mistakes happen, I could come back and have it remade but I would have to wait, not even an apology was offered until after I mentioned it. I would like to believe people in the service industry don't mind being bothered with questions or a way to improve. Outside of the errors made, the food is good, and the restaurant can be great place to come with your family but not until they want to service the people...
Read moreDoggos Gus is an outdoor patio area in East Village that serves specialty Mexican flavored Bacon Wrapped hot dogs along with some other side items. There is picnic table seating available outside and you can also eat inside at the neighboring bar. To order you go up to a device rather than order from a live person. While I can appreciate that it cuts down on overhead expenses to make people order on devices rather than a live person, to me it was a little bit off putting and made the experience less personal. After placing the order they will text you when it is ready and you go to the pickup window.
The dogs themselves were really tasty even if they were somewhat expensive given that its a hot dog, specialty or not. We ordered an Ayyyy Weyyy and a California. The California comes with fries on the hot dog itself. Hot dogs are served in a basket with a side of ketchup. It took about seven minutes to receive the text that they were ready.
There is no parking lot here given it’s in East Village so you either have to look for street parking (limited). I would recommend taking a ride share, trolley or walking here if you’d like to go. I took a star off due to the...
Read moreNice little outdoor area which is dog friendly in the heart of Downtown! The seating area was spacious and clean upon arrival and no complaints about the vibe. I went here with high hopes but fell short of my expectations unfortunately. I would've like to say the staff was nice, but due to their iPad ordering system at the window it only left you with more questions than answers (questions you might normally ask at a new restaurant about things like top selling items, reccomendations, and overall left a very impersonal experience). The bread was amazing but might have been better toasted on the outside to add texture, the bacon that was wrapped around the hotdog was lost in everything else and never noticed the taste, the hotdog itself had no snap nor real flavor, so my overall take on the food was lackluster. Highlights are the Elote was nice even for being made with what I assume was canned corn, and the combinations for the hotdogs were all great combination ideas, but the overall product just fell short...
