First time in San Diego and came here based off the reviews. The place was busy, had to wait in line to order. Seemed every patron was buying by the slice out of the case but we have a family so we ordered a whole pizza. We were recommended to get the Detroit style so we ordered a custom Detroit style and were told it would be about 20 mins. We ordered a couple drinks and sat down to wait with our kids. Asked for straws and they don’t have straws, they don’t even have a bathroom (how’s that legal?), and staff seemed bothered to deal with the public. After this discovery we changed our order to go. It took almost 40 mins to get our pizza, were given two of the cheapest paper plates for our party of four and went on our way. This was one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had, one of the few times I’ve ever had to throw a pizza away because nobody wanted to continue eating it. The best part about it was the dough but there was way too much of it. The sauce was the saddest flavor, the toppings were skimpy and the rest was just mouthfuls of dough. Can’t believe I had to throw away pizza, what corners won’t this place cut? I can’t believe it was busy but like I said almost everybody was just grabbing a quick slice, great spot for a young local person or couple without a complex tongue.

TNT Pizza, nestled in the heart of East Village, is a hidden gem that promises a pizza experience like no other. Whether you’re a die-hard pizza aficionado or just someone who appreciates a good slice, TNT Pizza has something special in store for you. As you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked dough envelops you. The cozy interior, adorned with vintage posters and warm lighting, transports you back to those carefree days when pizza was the ultimate comfort food. The friendly staff greets you with genuine smiles, making you feel right at home. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the vegetarian pizzas. TNT Pizza takes pride in crafting pies that cater to herbivores without compromising on flavor. TNT Pizza isn’t just a pizzeria; it’s a love letter to pizza enthusiasts. The prices are reasonable, the flavors are unforgettable, and the experience is downright delightful. So, gather your friends, raise a slice, and celebrate the magic that happens when dough, sauce, and veggies come together. Pro tip: Pair your pizza with a cold craft beer—it’s the TNT Pizza way!

As a New Yorker I like my thin crust perfectly cooked through & through pizza. Nevertheless, I decided to try out their vegan Detroit style pizza. The service was impeccable! There was a small mistake on making my pizza that they didn’t want to serve it to n mmh e. Instead the owner came out & politely asked if it was ok if he made me a new one & if he could send out something on him while I was waiting. The sauce was so tasty delicious! The vegan cheese, wow. The crust, drooling. It is definitely up there with the best or almost the best pizza I have ever had! Period. There was so much left that I manifested giving it to someone in need. A gentleman walked by asked how much a slice was. When he began to walk away I asked if he wanted the last two HUGE slices I had left. He was so grateful & it was a very good day.

Well, where do I start. I'm giving a 2 STAR 🌟 BECAUSE THE CHEF CAME OUT THE BACK AND SAVED THE DAY ... THE YOUNG MAN AT THE COUNTER WAS VERY RUDE , DISRESPECTFUL AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND U CAN TRLL THST HE HAS BECOME VERY COMFORTABLE TREATING CUSTOMER THIS WAY BECAUSE OF THE AREA THST THIS PLACE IS LOCATED DOWNTOWN HAS A HIGH POPULATION OF HOMELESSNESS... SO HE PROPABALY THOUGHT THAT I WAS JUST ANOTHER HOMELESS PERSON THAT HE COULD BEHAVE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL WITH AND TREAT DISRESPECTFULNESS... I AM ENDEAVORING TO BECOME A VEGAN AND WAS LOOKING FOR A VEAGN PIZZA AND JUST TODAY SOMEONE RECCOMMENDED THIS PLACE TO ME AND I DECIDED TO GO IMMEDIATELY TO GIVE IT A TRY BECAUSE I JUST HAPPEN TO BE NEARBY... SO WHEN I WAS LOOKING AT THE MENU BEFORE DECIDING TP JUST GO THERE BECAUSE THE MENU OPTIONS WERE 🤔 VARIED AND I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT WAS VEGAN ONLY... SO I HAD LOTS OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PIZZAS AND HOW THINGS WERE... QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PIZZAS ON DISPLAY. HOW LONG HAD BEEN OUT THERE, CAN I GET A WHOLE FRESH PIZZA PREPARED, ETC, ETC... ALL NORMAL QUESTIONS RELATED TO ANY OTHER REGULAR FIRST TIME 🍕 PIZZA EXPERIENCES AT A NEW RESTAURANT... THE YOUNG MAN AT THE COUNTER WAS A BIT ANNOYED THAT I HAD QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PIZZAS 🍕 AND THREATENING TO CALL THE POLICE ON ME BECAUSE AS IM TRYING TO HAVE A DISCUSSION WITH HIM ABOUT THE PIZZA FOR THE SECOND TIME ANOTHER CUSTOMER THAT WAS ON HER PHONE TALKING TO SOMEONE WALKED UP HE ASKED ME VERY RUDELY ASKED MOVE OUT THE WAYI ROLD HIM THAT THAT PERSON NEEDED TO WAITE THEIR TIME BECAUSE I WAS THERE FIRST AND IT WAS NOW MY TIME TO ORDER ... I AKSED HIM WHERE WAS THE MANAGER .. ANOTHER YOUNG MAN CAME OUT FORM THE KITCHEN AND INTERVENED AND I THANKED HIM FOR HIS PROFESSIONALISM.... WE FINALLY WERE ABLE TO TRY A FRESH VEGAN PIZZA WITH WITH SPINACH ON IT WAS GOOD 😋 I WAS NOT CRAZY ABOUT THE LOCATION WHEN WE INITIALLY ARRIVED BUT DECIDED TO GIVE IT A TRY ANYWAYS... THERE WERE FLEAS FLYING AROUND INSIDE THE GLASS WHERE THE OTHER PIZZZAS HAD BEEN ON DISPLAY AND THE TABLES WERE DIRTY BUT AGAIN A FRESH PIZZA CAME OUTWHILE I WAS STANDING THERE CONVERSEING WITH THE OTHER YOUNG MAN THAT WAS PATIENTLY ALLOWING ME TO ASKED ALL OF THE INITIAL QUESTIONS THAT I WANTED TO ASK IN THE FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH THE RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL GUY!! !

I ENJOYED THE FREH PIZZA BUT AS I AM READING THE REVIEWS ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE... I AM RELUCTANT TO RETURN BECAUSE OF THAT REASON... THAT WE WONDER WHY 🤔 THAT IS THE REASON THAT COMPUTERS ARE TAKING HUMAN JOBS AWAY... PEOPLE WILL GO FAR OUT OF THEIR WAY TO GET GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE...I WOULD LIKE THE OWNER TO KNOW THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE PERHAPS MAKING YOU LOSE 💰 🤑 BECAUSE OF THEIR...

These stars represent their ability to manage expectations and attention to detail. I appreciate the gift card but would of preferred my time back.

When you order a pizza with pepperoni you expect pepperoni and tomato sauce. Simple enough our expectations was for some Italian cured meats. But I appreciate the $30 dollars to calibrate my expectations in the future.

Now let's talk about timing we placed a order online which notified us when our order was ready. Well either management set expectations the Pizza chef could never deliver or there was misinformation given to GrubHub. Or the chef needs to learn about time management. 1 hours AFTER our pickup time for a pickup pizza is a failure somewhere. When we approached the teller to inquire about the eta the chef took this as a opportunity to express his stress level by very loudly informing us that the pizza will be ready when it's ready. We were scolded simply for asking if there was an ETA for our pizza that, at that point, was already 40inites late.

To that I say I am a local guide level five blank blank!!!

Pizza was decent for thick crust. Would be better if it was hot and made correctly and we didn't get yelled at...
