Everyone except for the galley cook named "Jeff" or "Geoff," don't know exactly how his name was spelled, was great especially the captain for the day.. here's why:

So yesterday 9-12-2024 I went on the morning half day on the New Seaforth. I am not new to party boats, but I haven't been on one since over a year.. needless to say I got seasick, mainly due to lack of sleep because I was so excited. Anyway, day started great, Capt took us to the first spot and I was the first to land a bonito on the boat, awesome. After 3 fish I couldn't take the seasickness anymore and threw up over the railing..

I felt better but I was starting to shiver and get really cold. (Low iron problems) The cold started to make me feel sick again.. so I decided to go to the galley.. (I know being down there makes you sicker but for me I was getting relief and feeling better by warming up.)

Well Jeff saw that I was laying down on the benches and immediately decided to kick me out.. saying that I'm sick and can't be down here ..

I told him, "I'm feeling better and by warming up I will feel good and go back out there again".

He said AND I QUOTE: "I don't care if it's snowing and freezing outside you need to leave the galley, you're TOXIC."

I was pleading with him to let me stay at least inside by the entrance just to warm up but he was not having it and kept calling me "TOXIC".

Do you know how offended I was? I told him that is horrible customer service and he said he doesn't care and kept forcing me to leave.. he almost put his hands on me .. I told him I was gonna complain he said, "go ahead the captain is right there now leave the galley"

I took a few minutes to compose myself and decided to apologize for raising my voice with him, I was taught to respect my elders. I asked him for his name and he said, "it's Jeff and the captain is right up there go for it". Just completely obnoxious..

I responded with, "no, I want to apologize for being loud to you Jeff." He stopped and said, oh and shook my hand.... I waited for him to apologize for the way he treated me, a paying customer..the names he called me, but nothing...he just said, "try fishing that'll make ya feel better...."

I decided not to talk or make contact with him after that point knowing I would just be upset again.. the trip was ruined for me at this point. I went topside and was literally shaking from sickness and cold. Minutes away from just collapsing, I was literally holding on so I wouldn't collapse...when the captain saw me he said, " holy shit are you ok?! You're pale!."

I told him I'm freezing and feeling sick..

He quickly made a spot for me to warm up and relax... Which I spent the whole rest of the trip warming up, relaxing, and trying to wrap my brain around what just happened and how badly I was treated for literally having a medical situation...

I honestly don't know if I want to go back.. and that's saying a lot since I would always recommend you guys over hm and fishermans.

Hopefully, you guys do the right thing and make it right for this customer.. employees have their bad days and I get that, but the reputation of the company depends on how the company responds and handles the situation...

Regards, Yousif of Cast n...

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a full-day fishing trip aboard the San Diego, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the trip was well-organized and enjoyable, catering to both novice and experienced anglers.

The day began early with a warm welcome from the friendly and knowledgeable crew. They provided a thorough safety briefing and made sure everyone was comfortable with the equipment. The boat itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering ample space for everyone to fish without feeling cramped.

As we set off, the crew’s expertise became evident. They navigated to several prime fishing spots, and their insights into local fishing conditions were invaluable. Throughout the day, they offered tips and assistance, ensuring that everyone had the best chance of catching fish. Their enthusiasm and passion for fishing were contagious, making the experience even more enjoyable.

The crew was always ready to help with baiting hooks, untangling lines, and offering encouragement. For those who needed it, they provided hands-on instruction, making it a great learning experience. The thrill of reeling in a big catch was a highlight for many on board.

One of the standout aspects of the trip was the hospitality. There was always a pot of coffee brewing. Lunch was delicious and satisfying, with a good variety of options to suit different tastes. The camaraderie among the passengers and crew made the meal breaks enjoyable and relaxing.

The trip concluded with the crew cleaning and filleting our catches, allowing us to take home fresh fish. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the day.

Overall, the full-day fishing trip aboard the San Diego was an exceptional experience. The combination of excellent crew, prime fishing locations, and top-notch hospitality made for a memorable day on the water. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for an enjoyable and productive fishing adventure. I’m already looking forward to my next...

*Review is for the Sea Watch/Seaforth sportfishing

Hopped on a full day boat with my 11 year old for his birthday trip. All he wants to do is fish offshore. I’ve been to all the local landings in the past 16 years, from 1/2 day to 2.5 day trips and this is my review.

1st, there is always parking at Seaforth Landing. Some of the “other landings” don’t have parking close, it’s always booked, even far away you still have to pay daily parking and hike all your gear in. If you bring back a ton of fish, it’s a hike. But not here. Free parking and plenty of it.

2nd, the Sea Watch already grabbed bait before we left so didn’t have to waste any of our full day time doing that. Another bonus that many others don’t do.

3rd, fishing was tough. We motored around many places looking for a school of fish but there were none to be had. Stopped on a few and the deck hands were generous with the bait, but couldn’t get them to go. That’s fishing. But the captain, Ryan, was in constant communication about what he’s seeing, what the plan is, and why. Thats important.

4th, when we did get on the fish the captain and the deck hands were constantly helping tie hooks, untangle lines, gaff fish… even letting people borrow some of their personal jigs to throw! (Sorry if I wasn’t supposed to say that) And the captain especially was helping my 11 year old. We weren’t always fishing side by side and when there was an issue I didn’t see Ryan was on it! Helping him with bait, fighting fish… etc. Top notch! He really made the experience for my son something awesome!

5th, they brought the fish from the boat up to the landing quickly! When you’re done fishing you want to get home and they are a well oiled machine. Less than five minutes between getting to the dock and receiving the fillet fish.

Food was great and the captain even stayed late once we got on the fish! Will definitely fish...

It was a wonderful deep-sea fishing experience with great service. I was a few minutes late because of traffic, and they even called me to say they could wait five minutes—very touching! The ticket was $75, and in half a day I got to enjoy the beautiful ocean views of San Diego and was lucky enough to catch a few fish. I should definitely come again next time. To my surprise, one guy accidentally caught a bird, which of course had to be released.
