HORRIBLE SERVICE by Manager named Bich and front desk staff! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

I booked a couples massage for my husband's birthday last week and we were so excited to go because we had a nice experience there for my birthday. I get a call from the front desk lady around 10:00am asking us to push back our appointment 30 minutes due to the therapist being stuck in traffic. Fine. We show up about 10 min early to our 12:30 appointment and are put in the waiting room and told to help ourselves to water or tea while we wait to be called back. The waiting room is now littered with cheap print collateral and advertising with no music playing, where it used to be a relaxing atmosphere to unwind before your massage. The front desk girl, Linda, comes in at 12:45 (15 min after our treatment should have started) to inform us that the therapist was driving back from Yuma but decided to leave this morning instead of last night so now she is still far away and stuck in traffic and they have to cancel our treatment. We are frustrated as they've now taken an extra hour from our day that we could have planned to celebrate doing something else. But fine again, we'll reschedule. Manager, Bich, was at the desk and apologized stating that they don't trust this therapist and that this is not the first time she has caused an issue with a scheduled appointment. Linda isn't able to find a time to reschedule so she said we can expect a call from her that same day with a new appointment date.

No call from Linda that day to reschedule so I call the next day to follow up. Linda says they still don't have a new date/time confirmed so she will have to call back. Great. When she finally calls back with a confirmed date - 3 days after our first attempt to go in - I feel it's time to let her know how disappointed we have been with the service and the way the situation was handled and Linda informs me the manager, Bich, was willing to give us a discount of $10 on our next service. $10!!!?? Seriously? Not even a whopping 6% of what we would be paying for the couples massage. I couldn't believe she really just offered $10 after cancelling a treatment and ruining my husbands's bday plans so I asked to speak with Bich again. Bich was in a treatment and would have to call me back. Linda also said she would personally text me the next day on her personal cell phone to follow up (which I thought was weird and unnecessary, but that's what she said so Ok) ...

2 days later and no call or text or any follow up AGAIN. SO I call on Sunday to reconfirm our appointment time and guess who answers, Bich. YAY finally get a chance to explain how awful the experience and communication has been and discuss compensation for the extreme lack in service. Bich starts telling me that the therapist had to cancel because her dad died ((Yet we were told she was stuck in traffic on her way back from Yuma???)) and that they aren't able to compensate more than $10. I explain very clearly that we aren't even upset about the treatment having to be cancelled, we are upset with the way the follow up and communication was handled by herself and Linda. Bich then tells me how stressed out both her and Linda are and can't do anything else - so I reply that maybe if they are unable to perform their job duties perhaps this is not the best job for either of them. --- I obviously cancelled our appointment and will NEVER go back - which is a shame because we live a block away and like to treat ourselves to couples massages on special occasions and have had good experiences there in the past.

I've read other reviews from the past couple months stating that they are under new ownership and people seem to agree this place is crashing and burning real quick. Before even walking in to the waiting room, I could tell the place lost its' class - now cluttered with advertising posters and "best tanning in SD" flags flying by the front door. My boyfriend and I had been wanting to do a couple's massage for a long time. I researched a bunch of places in SD and picked Hidden Spa based on reviews and price. Compared to all of the places I looked at this one had the best deal. Making an appointment was super easy and they were very accommodating also. Even though the couple's massage was a package deal I was still able to upgrade mine with hot stone and my boyfriend with deep tissue.

When we got there the receptionist greeted us promptly and checked us in. Offered us some drinks and lead us into a cozy room to fill out forms. After that we were lead into the couple's massage room. It was clean and cozy. Our masseuse asked a few questions on what areas we wanted to focus on, let us change out of our clothes, and began the massage.

My masseuse was Taylor and she did a great job. And OMG the hot stone massage was amazing! It was just the right about of heat needed to loosen those muscles and it felt so wonderful. My boyfriend's masseuse was Michelle (?) and he said she also did a good job. He had some tight knots and Michelle really got into them. At the end they gave us a sugar foot scrub. That was very nice too. My boyfriend has extremely ticklish feet so we asked if he can have a hand scrub instead which they were happy to do. Again, very accommodating. After our massages were over we were lead back into the first room to enjoy some complimentary sparkling cider and desserts. Nothing spectacular there but it was a nice touch to end the massage. We weren't rushed at all during the whole time. We were definitely super relaxed after the massages. Especially my boyfriend (it was his first massage). He was still super relaxed even the next day!

Awesome staff!! Very clean and hygienic Spa... Top Notch Customer Service from start to finish... Great relaxing atmosphere... Stopped by for a pedicure and Ariya (hope I got that right!!) is AMAZING!! She specializes in "beach feet" and my feet never felt or looked better!! So the following day I booked an hour facial with Stephanie, then followed that up with an hour full body massage with Jen... oh HEAVEN!!!! The facial left my face hydrated (pumpkin mask smelled so good!!) and with the microabrasion treatment I saw an immediate noticeable difference in my skin tone...evened out some sun damage and fine lines. Jen... she was FABULOUS!! After she finished my massage I was completely and utterly relaxed!! It was my first full body massage and Jens professionalism made me feel at ease and her great communication skills made it a truly great experience.
