Fisherman's Wharf is such a classic SF experience! The street vendors cooking fresh Dungeness crab right in front of you is amazing - definitely get it with butter and sourdough bread. The Cioppino seafood stew is incredible too, loaded with crab, shrimp, and shellfish.
Scoma's has been the go-to waterfront restaurant since 1965 with perfect pier views. For something more casual, the clam chowder in sourdough bowls from the street vendors is a must-try. Eagle Cafe is great for breakfast if you're there early.
The sea lions at Pier 39 are hilarious to watch, and the new SkyStar Ferris wheel gives amazing Golden Gate Bridge views. Hyde Street Pier has cool historic ships if you're into maritime history.
Pro tip: Take the Powell-Hyde cable car for the full experience - way better than dealing with parking! Visit early morning at Pier 47 to see fishermen unloading their catch, then work your way to Pier 39 for sea lions. End with dinner watching the sunset over the bay.
