THIS IS NOT A KIDROBOT STORE ANYMORE!!!!!! ITS NOW WOOT BEAR! Yes, they do still sell kidrobot toys but the store itself, is NOT Kidrobot .... It's now called "WOOT BEAR" ( check your receipt and see what is says next time to confirm) . After speaking to locals on Haight, I found out that a few years ago someone bought the store and it makes sence because around that time the Kidrobot store I loved shopping at was the Melrose location but sadly they went out of business same time this was going on. It looks like if you really want to physically shop at a real official kid robot store, you have to go to Vegas or if you are lucky enough , get a comic con 4 day pass and shop there preview night before everything is sold out. This location in particular really needs to take down the kidrobot store front door sign and window logo. I don't like being lied to when shopping at a store walking in and seeing half the store completely gone where I use to buy all my kidrobot shirts and bags! Woot bear figures now are displayed there along with paintings. There was about 10 shirts in the store not displayed well no kid mind you, but woot bear and a little Tokidoki shirts folded where you couldn't really see them. I love to go into my favorite store try on the shirts pick my own blind box toys , pick the plushies I want and love when after buying hundreds of dollars worth of cool art toys and apparel getting the kidrobot stickers and labbit ones they always gave out and put in the signature Kidrobot bag.
I know over the years the famous shops along Haight and Melrose are having trouble surviving. It's really sad to see the one of the last unique shops I would frequently visit is gone too. I have places closer to me I can buy a blind box at and I don't have to deal with the uncomfortable company that Haight has all around its streets. I want to still keep my loyalty to Kidrobot but honestly Kid , give it one last shot open a store in the Gas Lamp district of San Diego and see what happens. Always being at comic con and selling there it would be great to see you have a storefront where you can have comic con exclusive release parties and events and a place we could meet the artist who are now part of the...
Read moreI never been to this store in person but, I did pre-order something from their website. The pre-order was supposed to ship in June but was moved to July which was annoying but, I understood because it’s not the companies fault. I decided to call and just ask for a refund but, the girl told me they should be getting them this week so I told her I would wait another week. A week past and there was no shipping update so I called to just get my purchase refunded. There was a rude girl that picked up the phone this time and her attitude was awful. I’m assuming the phone was handed to another lady to assist me she told me she doesn’t know when they will be receiving my pre order and she told me in the future there is no refunds but they will refund me this time. Days later I didn’t receive a refund. I called once again and the girl told me that they will refund me. So apparently the lady never refunded me in the...
Read moreWent there Sunday because my niece and sister were looking for Sonny angels, they had them behind the counter so we walked up and asked, the girl at the counter was kind of rude and just said they are right here. So my niece still thinking if she wanted one they started taking other customers and just kind of pushed her out of the way! They didn’t ask if she wanted to purchase anything she eventually got back into line to get one and as I walked around I was watched like a hawk by another employee that followed me around the whole store like if I was the only one there. I felt very uncomfortable to even look at anything. Funny thing is everyone else who asked about the Sonny angels they were handed the box to look at but they almost didn’t want to let my niece hold it without her paying for it! Very biased...
