All three clothing articles I’ve bought from here that were handmade have become borderline unreliable and undesirable to wear. Especially when they’re priced at a ridiculous amount for “local” clothing, the cost vs quality do not align whatsoever ever. The hem of the fabric unraveled immediately after my first use of the one article, even before a first wash. The second, full of micro holes in the stretchy fabric (which were unnoticeable at time of purchase) that turned into major holes around the seams and areas of more stretching. Not to mention the clothes seem really dirty??? right of the rack? But “NO RETURNS” still persists. Perhaps no returns policy is in place to avoid all the unhappy local customers who are on the same page as me and can actually return to the store to make a valid complaint. Clothes I’ve bought from China and SHEIN have lasted longer than the disappointing articles from this store. The fact I had to hand over these clothes to a family member to fix is enough to know that the quality of items isn’t even an afterthought. Even with the sale prices, these clothes are not even worth half of what I paid for, handmade or not. I won’t even dare to try to suggest for a refund as I’ve seen the owner and staff throw a fit over people who are simply asking for what’s deserved. I also don’t want to be in the position to be scolded with no true rhyme or reason if I dared to return to make these claims myself. I don’t deserve that either. The unrelenting, revolting response from the business handling disfunction of any kind would keep even the most strong worded people from attempting to reason with this store. To add insult to injury, a lot of their items that they don’t produce are drop shipped and marked up. You can easily find them on Amazon for a cheaper price. Don’t let the glitz and glam get you, it’s fools gold. Plenty of other stores around will have what you’re looking for, without the fuss. What a shame, wish I could support a local business like this if they actually did...

This place is phenomenal! I hate orderinf anythinf online. It may or may not ever appear. I like instant gratification and keeping old staples brick and mortars like this one open. A SF institution is Piedmonts.

The old hippies and expats make it worth revisiting EVERYtime. Piedmont Boutique is the best! After finding the pictured fringe vest, I mentioned how much I’d love for it to be a set and a staff member offered to make custom pants for me! I got to pick the sizing, fit, pocket style, waistband, etc. After going there for to see the final product, I realized it didn’t fit how I wanted it to and they remade the pants in a new style for me for free!
