The observation pier is an excellent place to get morning photographs of some of the skyline of San Francisco. I have found it is best to get here in the mornings on a weekend by 8am. For one parking is plentiful and you can get right up to it. Also the tourists and resident have not opened up yet, so you can get some great photographs without the crowds in them. Read morePier 14 is a great place to take photos of the Bay Bridge. It is also a great place to take in views of the San Francisco Skyline. There are metal seats that swivel along the side. At the end there is a platform with rails that make it ideal for fishing. I haven't seen anyone catch anything though.
