Unfortunately I have to make these public so don't happen to anyone else. I have a family of 3 my husband and a daughter of 1/2 years. We decided to go in a Royal Caribbean cruise last year on August we went in Freedom of the seas FYI we board the ship with two copy of birth certificates one for my daughter who at that time she was only 6 months old kelp these part on mind then the cruise was amazing that we decide to go every year then on one but Royal Caribbean then we booked the one for this year and I booked it with 3 months in advanced and I paid it little by little then I reviewed and confirmed my documents more than twice with them trough text messages and the day of the cruise at the port when I showed up with the same documentation than last year then they denied me from the cruise after let me out in the sun with with my daughter of 1/2 years old for 3 hours and still let me not going on a cruise with not option and now when I asked for my money they would only give me taxes and fare that not even cover that amount that I paid for my daughter these is insane I'm 7 days off without paid not vacations and I would only get $300 from my $3000 dollars cruise. Obviously someone here made a negligence and they find out and now they been follow the rules because the lady who assist me at the port told me that they changed this on October but the agent from Royal Caribbean told me that they never accepted a copy of a documents. Royal Caribbean never before unable to make exemption from a case and be flexible even when I already traveled with them is not new people is the same they should reconcider but not better to keep the money and loose a custumer this is...

Rhapsody of the Seas (July 20–27, 2025)

Departed from San Juan, Puerto Rico | Visited St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, and Barbados

As first-time cruisers and former cruise skeptics, we were thoroughly impressed. Rhapsody of the Seas exceeded our expectations in many ways. The ship was well-maintained, the itinerary was packed with stunning destinations, and there were plenty of activities both onboard and off to keep us engaged.

The highlight of our experience was hands down the crew. Our dining staff, Raymond and Angelica, made every dinner something to look forward to — exceptional service, warm personalities, and genuine care. Our Stateroom Attendant, Budi, kept our room in perfect shape and was always kind and attentive. Jonatan Canoli at guest services was also incredibly helpful in navigating account and WiFi options.

Special thanks to Khadrick and Patience, the morning greeters at the Windjammer. Their daily energy and kindness were small moments that made a big impact.

While one of our snorkeling excursions didn’t meet expectations due to the lack of marine life, that didn’t take away from the overall experience.

The cruise offered great value, excellent service, beautiful ports, and a smooth, relaxing way to travel. For anyone unsure about cruising — this itinerary and crew might just change your mind like...

NO SIGNS OR PEOPLE GUIDING YOU FOR YOUR TOUR BUS. There are so many tour buses and taxis by the locals. It is hard to know which tour bus is yours and is the one associated with your cruise ship.

Our instructions read to meet at 3:45pm to be ready to leave at 4pm. Well, we were waiting around in the middle of the walkway because we did not know where to go. The bus ended up leaving without us.

We came back to the ship to talk with Shore Excursions services. They were on break until 5pm. We wasted more time sitting and waiting for 5pm.

Once we got the opportunity to talk with the employee Amir, he was very persistent that there were signs and people guiding and we just happened to be the only two people not on the bus. Well Amir, I am NOT CRAZY. I waited out on the sidewalk like any person would and there was NOTHING and NO STAFF telling me where to go.

He ended up “making an exception” to let us book another excursion and get a refund because it’s our honeymoon. As if that’s an exception! Riiiiiiiight, as if he can’t do that for any customer.

If you’re on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship and you booked an excursion for a bus tour, be mindful that as of November 28th 2022 there were NO obvious SIGNS and NO EMPLOYEES guiding you for...

The best cruise port in the Caribbean! San Juan Cruise Port is in the heart of San Juan. It offers the shortest walk from the ship to the shore. When you step off the pier, you find yourself in the heart of the city with public transportation right there. You can even walk 1.5 blocks to the ferry where $0.50 takes you to Catano. There you can up a van to the Bacardi factory and museum. Of course, since the hurricane in 2017, the island of Puerto 🇵🇷 Rico has suffered tremendous loss and hardship. I would be remiss if I omitted the incredible resilience of the locals. They were still the warm, welcoming Boricuas we remember. Their smiles, and their faith, have not wavered. They were very clear with us on this visit, even if we only come to see the attractions as tourists, our presence and patronage is needed to move forward with the rebuilding. Everywhere you turn you hear ¡Puerto Rico se levanta!

HAPPY TOURs tour bus services- Can’t vouch for entire company but Alberto, bus #120, is the best tour guide I’ve ever experienced. Knowledgeable, very gregarious and proud of San Juan, he gives you an immersive tour of old and new San Juan. With a tour of 1 1/2 hours, you’ll be educated, entertained and your eyes filled with the beauty of the city. He’s very knowledgeable about the history of the city as well as current events. He’ll take you to places frequented by locals where you can experience the real San Juan among the citizens. He will show you things other drivers/guides can’t/won’t and I won’t give away his trade secrets here but it’s definitely worth the trip if you find yourself at the San Juan Cruise Port. Remember Happy Tours, white bus #120, Alberto Perez. I’ll try to post his pic. He’s the guy in the green shirt.
