913 Sport Bar — Restaurant in San Juan

If i had to use one word to describe this place, it would be: "pretentious".

February 15 was my 4th and last time visiting the restaurant. It's never been the best place to eat in terms of the quality of the food and it's price point, but they get the job done. However, the last two visits have been terrible. First i went for Brunch and they got my order wrong, replaced it with the correct one and yet, my food had human hair on it. The waitress was really nice and worked to fix the issue, which i really appreciate.

On February 15, i had a reservation for the Valentine's special which offered 4 courses for 2 people for $99. I could easily call it a scam. The food we got was certainly not worth $99, i would say it was closer to $60. Two sangrías in the smallest cups possible, plantain soup in the smallest size possible, two main dishes (which were decent) and for dessert, a slice of cake to be split between the two of us, a cake that gets put to shame by a "Volcán de chocolate" from Church's Chicken, which only costs about $3.49. I'm not one to complain much, but something has to be said about their decrease in quality. You would do better spending your money elsewhere as there are far better restaurants in the area.

Edit: I have received a reply from the restaurant and apparently i'm the only person that complained according to them.

I don't know how many orders they actually had. They mention 1,284 orders and i do hope so, because i'm not wishing any harm on the place, however, there were time slots available on February 14 and on the 15th (the day i went), there were more flies in the restaurant than customers. Color me skeptical. I hope you improve and i wish you nothing...

Waited almost 2 hours for food, & water was not offered or refilled until someone had to get up to ask multiple times for water at the table. Very hot inside so water should have been provided without anyone even asking. No one ever came over to update us on the status of our order, or even to refill water (while giving water to tables around ours). When we asked about our food, we were told that a large party of about 30 people all had to get every thing they ordered first before our meals could even be started on. In any normal restaurant, in that scenario, you would be told at the door that there is a 1.5 hour wait at least. People came in after us and got their food before we did anyway, so that excuse didn’t really fly. Servers were nice when we actually could get a hold of them, but non-attentive. This location was a delicious find!!! Our server Willie was aboslutely amazing! He provided us with the perfect amount of attention and gave us the best reccomendation on food. His willingness to help us navigate a fanastic menu was incrediable and he was very attentive. I will say that the pulpo appetizer was perfectly prepared as well as the rest of our dishes! My only regreat is that I wish I could have tryed more of the food on the menu, but I ran out of...
