Updated Review They responded to the review I originally posted and got me in the next day to fix the gel on my toes (again) and replace one of the acrylic nails that was falling off already. Tammy did a phenomenal job on fixing the french tips on my toes and fit me into a busy schedule. I would still recommend avoiding getting your pedicure done by the male technicians at this salon but am happy with how my toes turned out. I am looking forward to coming back and getting my toes does by Tammy again and appreciate her reaching out to me regarding my bad experience at the salon.
āā- Old review:
2/5 stars: I have been to this salon three times now for a gel pedicure and the first two experiences were great, the third experience (this past week) was so bad I decided I needed to write this review and start looking for a new nail salon to go to. I scheduled an appointment on Monday to get a gel pedicure and decided to do a french tip since the french tip I got the prior month was amazing.
I was paired with a male technician who was friendly, great customer service, but didnāt perform the service as well as the females I have had in the past. Although the pedicure was relaxing, the soles of my feet still had dead skin on them, the french tips came out super skinny and crooked compared to the time prior. I asked the nail technician to fix the paint on one of my toes three times because it made my toe look crooked and I was running out of time (this was about an hour and 15 minutes into the service) so I told him it was fine. When I got home I realized I didnāt want to spend the next four weeks looking at a paint job that I felt like I couldāve done better myself.
I called in to the salon to ask if I could come back in to get my french tips fixed and didnāt receive friendly customer service over the phone because of it. Nevertheless, they got me in the next day and I had a different male nail technician working on my toes. He only wanted to redo the gel on the two toes that I pointed out instead of all of them (even though they all werenāt that great). The nail technician asked me what I thought of the new french tip he painted on one nail and when I looked at it, rubbed my eye and stretched my arm, didnāt say a word because I was thinking he said ācalm down, we can fix whatever you need us to fixā and I thought it was a joke. The whole time I was there I didnāt raise my voice once, always was polite and got told to calm down because I moved when he asked me my opinion. š He was put out and displayed a lack of patience when I gave him feedback that it still made my toe look crooked and then responded with āitās because your toe is crooked/curledā. After that I decided it wasnāt worth my time, told him it looked great and left. It hasnāt even been a week yet and gel from a completely unrelated toe has completely fallen off.
If I am going to spend $75.00+ for a service I expect it to be something I couldnāt do myself and to be treated respectfully. The lack of good customer service during this last visit was so bad I decided Iām never coming back to this salon. If you decide to still go here, maybe ask for female technicians instead and youāll have a better experience. Hope this was somewhat helpful for you to decide whether or not you want to go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had arranged appointments for 5 people at 5 oāclock two days ahead of time for manicures and pedicures. Three of us arrived (2 canceled last minute) on time and the chairs were full. We waited 15 minutes and then were placed for our pedicure. Not awful.
Water was scalding (not an exaggeration). Once they adjusted the temp twice, it was hot but tolerable, and the pedicure went as expected, felt nice, was easy. They checked to make sure I was comfortable multiple times during this process following the water temp issue (I had a hot stone massage and hot wax, and they checked the temps on each), which was appreciated.
The manicure on the other hand? I didnāt really get the ombrĆ© design I wanted (used a reference photo posted here, Iāve gotten this many times at other salons) since they told me they cannot do the sponge technique or the brush technique āthatās really hard to doā. Instead he used an airbrush machine. Seeing that the ombrĆ© looked kind high on my nail, I asked if he could go lower to start the ombrĆ© lower on my nail, he told me no. The result is more to me a soft edge, uneven, thick colored French, where the color looks way more yellow-green than it actually is. The same color on my toes is much darker and what I wanted. He was also distracted managing the salon, getting up and leaving me to coordinate chairs and manicurists. I get they have a business, but if he didnāt have time or the necessary skillset to do what I wanted, I would have rather him switch out.
He swapped out curing lights multiple times, pretty sure they didnāt work as usually my nails feel warm, even hot, during curing, but this felt like nothing. There wasnāt nail prep for the gel, no cleaning of nails, no cuticle care, no massage. I requested squoval (my natural nail shape) and was told no.
4 days later and multiple nails peeled right off on both hands. No nail damage, yay. Iām a week and a day out, all on my hands have come off and all but two of my toes. Iāve had manicures where I had to soak, abrade, and use metal tools to get it off after weeks (for a job).
They were polite, had a clean, nice salon. I was comfortable, felt safe, and they abided by hygiene standards. Just sucks that I treated myself to something I donāt get often (last was a year and a half ago), spent so much moneyāwell over a hundred dollars before tipāit only lasted a few days.
Iād go back for a normal...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSad, just sad. This salon was amazing, in the beginning of 2024, but it has gone downhill. The last time I went in the nail artist had to redo my nails 3 times because every time he did them the gel would bubble. That tells me the product is old. And then FINALLY his superior (or the so called manager at that time) who was sitting right next to us the whole time (speaking with him in another language) watching this unfold, finally said that I would not be charged for this, and then tried to fix it. Bao the manager said that he would fix it after 2 hours, and then tried to do the fastest clean up job ever, and when he tried to paint my nails without putting on a base coat told me that āhe was a professionalā and it would not turn my real nails yellow. I persisted that it needed a base coat, and he kept saying he was a professional, until I pulled my hand away and said āplease do a base coatā then he finally did. This salon needs to be evaluated by the BBB and have a State Inspection! Unprofessional and unsanitary practices. Very dissatisfied and will never return. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS IN RESPONSE TO THE SALONS NOTE: First of all you charged me 31$ and Bao was upset that I did not tip, but I am not going to tip on a service that had to be redone 3 times at the fault of the salon, making me stay at the salon for 3 hours. I had plans that night and I was late to the plans because of the inexperienced technician. But I also needed my nails to look presentable for a wedding the next day. And I wrote this review after a few weeks because I continue to have trouble with the work you did, the polish pealed off in random spots and I believe it was because it had bubbles underneath. I am a nail technician so I do know the right and wrong way to do nails, you would do your clients a disservice if you donāt listen to them, some of us might know more you do. For Bao to keep telling me he is a professional was ridiculous, because he was doing non professional work on my nails and once donāt they did not last. Iām just very disappointed...
