Holiday Motel & Suites — Attraction in Santa Monica

Stayed here on an emergency basis in 2015. Couldn't find anything else that took pets. It appears that the only way this place stays in business is that all the people that stay here are homeless and using vouchers for a free place to sleep. It was SO bad, I couldn't recommend this place to ANYONE!

The bed looked clean until I turned down the bedspread and saw menstrual blood all over. There's no air conditioning and it gets pretty hot in the rooms. You can't open the front window and opening the back window is creepy because someone might come into your room while you're sleeping.

When I went to take a shower, everything was full of muck and mold and dried slime. Then the real horror became visible................the water didn't go down and I was standing in the diseases of every other person who had ever been in that shower stall!

I think it would be healthier to sleep out on the street than ever...

If your looking for one night stay or a couple of hours then look no further by far this is the best out of the cheapest hotels in Santa Monica, keep in mind out of the cheapest this is the best one, price range is a little tricky for locals it will be cheaper then tourists, while if your a tourist only here for couple if days this is your hotel for women u dont after worry about your safety cause everyone keeps to their on room and they wont be constantly nagging you, but the best part is location by far the best all u need to do is walk 4 blocks to Lincoln their u can catch the first bus to where ever u wanna go either to downtown, the train, Hollywood, the beach (if u dont wanna walk 10 blocks). It's in a great area by the beach. But with the amount of bugs and uncleanliness of the rooms it is not worth it. It's very dangerous and uncomfortable. It is sweltering hot and no fans no refrigerator no microwave no nothing. It is terrible living conditions I wish I never stayed there I was traumatized after leaving. Highly inappropriate behavior from the staff and there's definitely suspicious acts going around so be careful with children and women over by this area.
