Poom Thai Cuisine is an absolute gem! This charming, intimate restaurant offers a cozy dining experience with limited but comfortable seating. The warm ambiance creates the perfect setting for an enjoyable meal.

The food is exceptional! Their Pad Thai Rice stands out with its perfect balance of flavors and a brilliant touch of lime that elevates the dish. The Drunken Noodles with Shrimp offer just the right level of heat - flavorful and spicy without overwhelming the palate. The Pad See-Ew with Noodles is expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. Oh! And we tried a coconut ice cream with peanut toppings that was lovely treat!

What truly sets this family-run establishment apart is the outstanding service. The father-son duo running the restaurant are incredibly gracious and attentive. So sweet.

Poom's friendly and professional demeanor and excellent attention to detail with orders make dining here a delightful experience. The genuine warmth and passion they put into both their food and service make this restaurant truly special. Highly recommended for authentic...

I just wish I could give this place a -1. I tried to place an order online but it never gave me the option, and when I tried to call him AT N OON (who opens for lunch that late!) the guy behind the counter was VERY RUDE! He wouldn't take my credit card over the phone because I could have stolen the credit card, but explained that I could give my credit card to the person who was picking up the food (which makes no sense giving the fact that it would then be in the hands of a person whose name is NOT on the credit card. The man was VERY RUDE, and yelled at me that I could have stolen the card, he doesn't know me and he can't help me. I asked to speak to the manager and he said that no one was there. I have worked in the restaurant business for 10 years and I have never treated a customer like that. I was really looking forward to trying this place as I LOVE Thai food. But I guess I will have to keep wanting because I will never buy or should I say TRY to buy from this...

The food is fresh and decent. The Veggie Tom Kha soup was nice but little salty and strangely did not have bell peppers or other veggies - just mushrooms and Tofu. The Tofu also was too soft and crumbly. The red veggie curry was more yellow but tasted decent with rice. Service was slow but that's ok as I could see the food was being freshly made right in front of us. Rest everything is bare bones with every inch of the wall covered with customer scribbles and assorted plants. More of a take out place rather than sit in. Nice thing is it's open late till 1am and the folks are friendly. Not really cheap but not too expensive either. Had more expectations from what looked like an authentic Thai hole in the wall restaurant. Won't go back for sit in dining especially for...

Late night Thai, hell mofo yeah! Open until 1am on a Monday, this was my last stop of the night before I went back to the room and crashed. On the suggestion of the brother with the fro, who appeared to be friends with the cashier, I ordered beef green curry and shrimp fried rice. The curry was good, dug into it as soon as I got back. Haven't tried the fried rice yet, that's my 30hr train ride meal. Joked around with the cashier and his friend for a few minutes while they cooked my food fresh. Next time I'm drunk and hungry on a random weeknight back home, I'm going to remember this place and be sad AF.

I had a legitimate food coma because the portions were great and they don’t skimp out on the spice level. My lips were numb but everything was so tasty! It was a nice discovery to come across this gem after walking around the neighbourhood. The owners greeted us with a smile and it really feels like walking into someone’s home with all the plants and decor. I also appreciated the bowl of fruit for dessert as well. Such a nice treat. Highly recommend Poom Thai! Thanks for the hospitality as a visitor from Vancouver, BC 😊
