There are a whole lot of statues in Savannah, and i like to think i saw most of them. This one in particular was the first piece of artwork I've seen that actually made me think "This is alive, the history here is real". Just an amazing experience.

It was getting dark the first day I attempted but I decided it was best to come back earlier the next day. It was still surrounded by sketchy folks but I wasn't leaving without seeing it so I just went in. No one bothered me though but just keep in mind if your traveling...

As a First Generation Haitian American it’s amazing to have a monument like this on American Soil to commemorate and honor Haitians in Americian history. Being able to come here with my parents, aunts, and uncles whome emigrated to the United States for a better life was an unforgettable experience .
