This was a waste of money. We spent $200 to do the pirate room for our daughter's 13th birthday. It was our first escape room. They sent us upstairs because it was too crowded, then pawned us off on someone who had no idea what she was doing. We had no direction at all. She said "it stimulates your mind and makes you remember and stuff". We spent more time confused about what was even happening than actually playing the game. They were apparently talking to us through a radio in the room, but we were only hearing static and could hardly make out what they were saying. The clues were very poorly connected. Perhaps a simple introduction, especially knowing we'd never done one of these, would have solved that. When we finished, we waited for a few minutes then finally walked out. Someone came out of another room and asked if we finished. We said yes and she said to grab a sticker on our way out. I wanted to take a picture in the lobby as a memory from what should have been a great experience, but they couldn't push us out the door fast enough. They gladly took our money but never acknowledged it was a birthday trip or made any attempt to make it a fun experience in any way. It was sadly a huge disappointment. We won't be back and definitely do...
Read moreHorrible experience! It was our first time doing an escape room and they did not tell us that we chose the most difficult room that they have. The room was filled with unnecessary items that did not have anything to do with the escape, and the lady who works there said that a lot of these items are just random and there to distract you. She also told us at the end that only 17% of people have been able to escape this room. If something is this difficult, it's really not enjoyable. She had to give us clues the entire time and we were still unable to escape. The purpose of an escape room is to be able to escape and make it fun. This was not fun whatsoever and the 'Curse Bridal Veil' room was extremely difficult. In my opinion, they should ask you before you enter if this is your first time and suggest an easier room. I know there are other escape room locations that do this and make it more enjoyable for their customers. The room was also very small and hot. There were only two of us and I am sure it would have been easier to find clues with more people, however, I cannot imagine squeezing more people in the small space. Not recommended at all. There is another escape room across the street that seemed better,...
Read moreWe love escape rooms and have done many in the past; so when we visited Savannah we were excited to see what the city had to offer. However, our experience doing the ETA ZTA room was extremely disappointing. The game itself was not designed well. It was nearly impossible to determine where the puzzles/locks were (let alone how to crack them). In a well designed escape room you are given a back story and a mission; there are easily identifiable obstacles with clues that once deciphered act as instructions on how to solve puzzles to obtain codes to unlock boxes and doors. In other words there is a clear path to escape and the challenge is progressing through the room and finding your way out. This escape room checked none of those boxes. Instead, the host had to constantly tell you what to do next because there were no instructions or logic built into the room itself. The locks and puzzles were low budget with zero automation which made for a very frustrating and boring 60 minutes that ended in a lame way that was neither satisfying nor fun. Hands down the worst escape room I have...
