Do not stay here. Like most others have said, the location is great, but there are lots of other hotels downtown as well. First off, we had issues with the reservation online and I called to confirm it and the person I spoke with was very rude, put me on hold and then hung up. I called back 2 more times and it just rang and rang. When we arrived, we were told someone would call us when the room was ready, but no one ever did. We came back to the hotel only to find out the room had been ready all along and no one let us know. The rooms are SMALL. The beds are fine but the bathroom is so tiny that you can’t really close the door unless you back into the corner. The fan doesn’t run so it gets very steamy as soon as you cut the shower on. There is mold all in the shower. They didn’t give us any body wash and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were basically empty. The vanity, which is outside of the bathroom, was covered in dust and other people’s hair. Housekeeping never came to clean once. We ran out of towels and the trash was overflowing. We had to ask someone to come clean and all she did was dump the trash, didn’t replenish any of the stuff we needed. However, on the last day of our trip when we had not yet checked out, someone just opened the door to come in without knocking or announcing themselves. Also, it is LOUD. You can hear every conversation on the street outside, music and bass all night, and even the conversations of the rooms nearby…we could hear the toilet running in the room next to us, dogs barking and people coughing all night. Even with white noise on it was still very hard to sleep. The curtain was broken so it wouldn’t close all the way and light comes in all night too. Lastly, the $25 resort fee that they charge you and then claim that it can be used at the bar is a scam. It cannot be used on food or anything else, only alcohol, and only 1 person in my group drinks. You can only use it during certain hours and the drinks are insanely overpriced so that you either have to leave money unused or buy 2 drinks and end up having to pay a lot more than what the credit is worth. Most of the drinks advertised on the sign were actually not available. They had “lost” their bottle opener so the majority of the wine was not available either. It’s not worth the hassle of even trying to use the credit at that point. I would be ok with the resort fee if this was actually a resort but there are no amenities unless you count 3 exercise machines as amenities. You can’t even get coffee or water downstairs unless you go during the 10 minute window when the drinks are actually not empty.

Honestly, and truly, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at an indigo. Let me tell you a couple of the positive things. The lobby is very nice. The location of the hotel is spectacular. You are minutes from everything. Now let’s talk about the challenges that this Hotel has. The front desk staff is absolutely atrocious. Friday night at about 7 PM there was a young Asian lady who is very sweet and very helpful and a young African-American lady at the front desk. I literally stood in front of the young African-American lady. She didn’t even look my way. The young Asian lady had to come over to the young African-American lady and say hey can you please acknowledge the guest. I got out of her line and I went over to the other young lady who was very helpful. I brought up several concerns about my room and about the Wi-Fi and nobody seemed to care. No Wi-Fi in the three days that we stayed here. Couldn’t sleep because I was above a washer and dryer. The bartenders on Friday night were absolutely amazing so I want to give credit to the three gentlemen behind the bar. The sad thing is you have 15 different choices for Hotels within two or three blocks I would definitely not come back to this one and indigo is one of my favorite brands. On another note, you’re only two blocks away from lady and sons. That’s owned and operated by Paula Dean do not go there. You have been warned. Tourist trap.

Great upon arrival, speedy check-in, very smooth. However, I found a large roach crawling towards me while getting ready for bed. I screamed for my boyfriend to hop out the shower and come kill it. I have NEVER seen a bug in my room at any hotel/airbnb i've ever stayed at, whether it was more expensive or less expensive. One thing I always expect at the bare minimum is cleanliness. The front desk manager offered a room switch and complimentary breakfast which was nice of her but that does not make up for this experience. I was very excited for this stay until this happened and would not stay here again. Not sure if there's more bugs and how clean this hotel is after this experience. Considering we were on the fourth floor, it seems like it would be highly unlikely for a roach to have just crawled in from the outside since we weren't on ground level. We switched room at about 1AM. I had to pack up all of our belongings (that we just unpacked upon arrival). I had to wait in the hallway in my pj's while my boyfriend went downstairs to switch the cards because we were not allowed to go into the new room until we were fully out of the other one.

Update:

⸻

Thank you for your reply, though I must admit it feels more like a copy-paste PR statement than an acknowledgment of what actually happened during my stay.

The conditions in your hotel were far beyond a simple lapse in standards—they were a genuine health hazard. Multiple rooms were covered in visible mold, nearly every metal surface was rusted as if it had been exposed to saltwater for years, and the level of filth was appalling. Stray hairs from previous guests were everywhere, which clearly indicates your housekeeping protocols are either not being followed or don’t exist at all.

Your message references a commitment to “comfort and hygiene” and “high standards,” but based on what I experienced and the proof provided in photos, that’s simply not true. What’s more disappointing is that instead of addressing these serious concerns directly, your response reads like it was written by AI or someone who didn’t actually take the time to read my review.

If your team truly wants to “restore confidence,” you need to go beyond generic apologies and actually investigate and fix the deep, systemic cleanliness and maintenance issues that guests are pointing out.

⸻

Upon entering the hotel room, I couldn’t help but have Christina Aguilera’s “Dirrty” playing in my head—it perfectly captured the experience: filthy, grimy, and far from acceptable. Every corner, crack, and crevice was filled with hair of various colors, and many metal fixtures were rusted. This wasn’t just an isolated issue—I saw similar conditions in multiple rooms.

The mold situation was alarming. There weren’t just a few spots—there were hundreds of spores visibly spread throughout the room. It’s hard to believe any cleaning had been done at all. While the bed and bedding were somewhat comfortable, I found more stray hairs when pulling back the covers, which was unsettling.

The bathroom was no better. The shower wasn’t clean; the floor was still soapy, as if someone had just used it before I arrived. The toilet seat was particularly disturbing—made of plastic, it was melted and discolored in the back, and the surface was delaminating. That kind of porous, damaged surface is a breeding ground for bacteria and disease, and absolutely unacceptable in any lodging.

To make matters worse, one of the washcloths and a hand towel had synthetic, Barbie-doll-like hairs embedded in the fabric—how that passed inspection is beyond me.

And just when I thought the experience couldn’t get more frustrating, housekeeping started knocking on doors at 8 a.m. For what, exactly? They certainly aren’t cleaning the rooms.

Adding insult to injury, there was a $25 resort fee tacked on, supposedly covering fruit and Starbucks coffee. I never saw a single piece of fruit, and there was definitely no Starbucks—just some generic coffee from a brand with a lion on the label that I’ve never even heard of.

Overall, this stay left me deeply uncomfortable. The cleanliness standards were far below even basic expectations, the “resort fee” was a joke, and I absolutely...

I stayed in Savannah with a group of 17 people for the holidays. Upon entering, the decor and ambiance is very nice. They have a bar for hot chocolate and cookies. In the morning it's coffee and fruit, so don't buy coffee at the restaurant if you're having breakfast. Check in was seamless and we opted for valet service to park our 3 cars. I'm now realizing valet is just really expensive - it's about $48 per night which is pretty much industry standard. I'm just going to go over what I think about the hotel quickly because I have a lot to say about the valet service.

First, there is a $25 destination fee. I'm pretty sure this applies to all hotels in the area, but just note a hidden fee. You do get 2 free drinks at the bar a night though. I ate a few times in the restaurant - I'm going to write a separate review on this, but it short it was good food. The hotel is dog friendly. I love dogs so it was so nice seeing how many pups were in the hotel. The rooms are pretty sound proof - I heard dogs in the hallway but once I was in the room you could barely hear any barking. The showers were okay. It doesn't get super hot, but it comes in waves of hot water, warm, hot etc. So it wasn't ideal. Lastly, the staff is super nice and accommodating. I met a lot of friendly people in valet and at the desk.

Now onto the valet service. Yes they are nice but this is probably the most incompetent valet service I have ever experienced... first of all, it takes like 30-45 mins to get your car. Second, they mess up like almost every time. One night, we wanted to get some stuff from the car. Keep in mind we have 3 cars in valet. I ask for a black Toyota Camry under the name. They come out with a silver Camry. No worries, honest mistake. I let them know that it's not the car. They come back and bring out the Toyota Highlander we checked in. At this point I'm confused, I said black Toyota Camry twice!! So I let them know again, it's the black Toyota Camry under this name. Then they come out with the Chrysler Pacifica!! I was so bamboozled I just said black Toyota Camry. Eventually they got it right.

Now, the next day. I ask for the car again. Black Toyota Camry. The valet driver comes out with a Ford F150. How is that possible. I'm sitting next to him and watching what he's doing on the iPad. I tell him the name again. This time he starts clicking on the Toyota Highlander again!! And I also look and see that they noted the colour of the Highlander was blue, when it was gray. That's beside the point though. He was about to pick the wrong car again. If I hadn't went and double checked he was pulling the right keys, he would've brought another different car.

At this point, when I say a black Toyota Camry and they come out with a Ford F150 its a complete bamboozle.

Staff were very nice though and I really enjoyed the restaurant and...

4/17 Edit: I would like to update my review based off the following updated service from Tiffany, the assistant office manager. She immediately called me the same day I posted the review to further listen to my concerns in order to take action to ensure the experience I had was not repeated. I do appreciate the swift effort and attention to this matter by the higher ups though I did not receive this level of service or attention with the in store hotel associates. They took full accountability of what transpired and I appreciate that. At the end of the conversation with Tiffany, I felt heard and confident that the concerns will be addressed. Also, they did not incentivize or ask me to update this review which prompted me to go ahead and do so as I feel they will make better steps for future guests.

While the location is good and the valet attendants were very nice and friendly. There was nothing else good about this stay.

The room was not cleaned, even though we waited extra for it to be cleaned. The lamps, faucets , any metal hardware was rusted and disgusting. The toilet paper holder was barely holding on to the wall. The bed left us feeling itchy all over and our concerns were not addressed when we brought it up. High allergy season is not a reason for our hotel to be gross, dusty, and give us hives. I tried to get ahold of corporate and the corporate said they couldn’t find my reservation as i was sitting in the hotel room. Ridiculous

The front desk was very unclear and unhelpful. I called down asking if they had scissors I was told yes but I had to come down and get them odd but perhaps they only had one desk associate, so i go down and there are two desk associates. I told them i had just called down for scissors and one lady gets up to go get them and the other lady immediately tells her no and tells me they don’t have scissors on the premises. That’s very weird. I was like you don’t have any at all and she said nope because they bring supplies from home and hotels don’t carry things like office supplies. I have never been to a hotel that dismay. So it was odd. The second time i had cut my hand on their busted up furniture and i go down, hand bleeding to ask for a bandage and this woman is so rude( doesn’t even look at me and before i could even finish telling her what i was asking for she says “we’re out” and i was like you do not have a first aid kit or bandaids on the premises end she goes “nope.” Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

Parking prices were very unclear as well as fees and everything during booking so having to pay over 100$ additional on top of over inflated pricing is insane.

I would not recommend this place to anyone else. The location simply isn’t worth the experience and...
