I would call this place a barcade but it deserves a better classification than that. It's more than just a bar with a few cabinets in it. There is a lot of care put into this place and it shows in different ways. I'll separate my review into sections.
Games: Lots of pinball right up front. Some cool machines that I hadn't seen before. The Deadpool machine is modern and super advanced. Each machine is a work of art in its own right though. Lots of other cabinets as well. They have a Dragon's Lair cabinet (which I've never seen in person) and a lot of games that you'll likely recognize. The best part is the DDR machine. My first visit it was actually broken down, but the second time it was up and running! Love that they actually repaired it!
Food: A great selection of bar food and better. Surprised to find that they had some good veggie selections and even the Beyond Meat sausage for pretty cheap.
Drinks: Not a huge selection but pretty big. They had some fun game themed mixed drinks as well. I tried their wintery Pina colada (the name escapes me) and it was alright. Curious to try some of their other selection.
Overall Portal is a great spot and I will be coming back and...
Read moreCool looking place with a good selection of arcade games, pinball, and other misc games, and a nice bar. Did not get to try the food but the bar had a good selection and prices were reasonable. Most games were $0.50 per credit. However, I did not stay more than hour because every game I tried was half broken.
House of the Dead 2 - Your player 1 gun can only shoot in the right half of the screen. It’s that off.
Time Crisis 2 - Both guns have accuracy issues that cause them to shoot moderately to the right.
TMNT - Leonardo’s joystick feels like it’s glued. Very hard to move it. Conversely, Michaelangelo and Don’s joysticks feel like they are ready to fall off. Raph’s works fine.
I didn’t play much more than that because I was disappointed and left. For a coin operated arcade, you should be taking better care of these machines. Most free to play barcades I’ve been to were in much better shape than this. Please fix your machines and maintain...

Starting with the good - there are a lot pinball games and a lot of the "classics" - Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and even a couple of skeeball machines. The food was surprisingly delicious.
Now the "Not so good" - When we ordered a sandwich and a quesadilla my husband asked if there were any sides. We were told "it comes with a side of salsa." $26 for just a sandwich and a quesadilla. There was one buy behind the counter who seemed like he would rather be anywhere else It was SUPER hot in there. There was also a homeless man playing pool with just the cue ball and yelling to himself. Bartenders were perfectly aware of this and walked over to him three times, though I don't know if anything was ever said, but we were the 3rd couple to leave because of his monopoly on the table and his stench.
We've been to other arcades like Fun Spot in New Hampshire and The Pinball Museum in Asheville, NC and really...
