Property was absolutely disgusting. Littered with trash and the stairwells smelled so bad of urine you just knew the neighbor got too drunk the night before and decided to use the stairwell instead of the toilet in their room. The flowers/shrubbery displayed on the 2nd floor terrace were so embarrassed to be seen, they looked like they died 3 years ago and never considered returning. Upon opening the room, the stench was so strong it’s like your mama backhanded you two times back to back for popping off at the mouth. I literally sprayed half of a $50 bottle of Victoria Secret to try to mask the smell. Unfortunately even Victoria couldn’t keep the secret of that stench; a mix between mold, mildew, leftover RAW chicken thighs that we found in our fridge, and the disturbingly disgusting stains that covered the 80’s style carpeting. I was afraid to walk around barefoot in the room, I could see the ring worms hiding in the carpet. Flooring was not only absurdly disgusting, there were also high and low spots. I was almost certain someone may have stuffed a mummified corpse under the carpeting near the sink that I had to walk on. The paint on the walls and ceiling were peeling and stained from what looked like either vomit, or 2 month old groceries. It was hard to tell. I have NEVERRR been so disappointed with a hotel booking. Especially for over $400 worth of my hard earned money for a 2 nights stay, and another $50 tacked on for parking in a lot that was loitered by all of the 3am bar hoppers that have had 5 drinks too many. Needless to say; I came,, I SAW, and I can’t unsee how horrendous the living conditions in this room were. The only 2 things worth entering this property for was the kind/courteous customer service from the lady at the front desk upon check-in, and somehow, the bed linens were the ONLY clean thing about the room! Thank GOD for that much. Everythingggg else was a BIG THUMBS DOWN. This property needs a complete gut, clean, and redo; or a couple bottles of unleaded and a match! 1 out of 10. Do NOT Recommend. And I’m only rating 1 because I can’t give a 0. Save yourself the hassle and spend a few hundred dollars more on a worthy stay. But, if you must, bring extra trash bags to wrap yourself in before entering...
Read moreWe were in town for my daughter to play volleyball at the Savannah Showdown which was being held at the Convention Center.
The location was great in that it provided us with an easy walk to the ferry.
The linens and towels were fresh, bright and white.
The tub, sink and toilet were very clean.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the 2 girls working the front desk were very polite and helpful. The manager however, pulled a fast one on us. I had called the day earlier to find out about early check in and the person quoted me $15 fee to do so. When i got there, the fee had risen to $25. the manager said she'd honored the $15 but ended up charging me $25.
We did not get to take advantage of the breakfast at the hotel because it started at 7 am and we needed to leave before that to get to the tournament. It should have stared earlier.
The hotel property was dirty, in disrepair and unsanitary.
Another teammate staying at the hotel had cockroaches crawling in her room. I have video and i personally captured 2 of them to show the front desk staff.
In our room, the door to the outside had been damaged and we could see day light between the door and the door jam.
The vanity had a crack from along the back side of it from one end to the other. There
was a hole in the wall inside the vanity and there were exposed pipes. Cabinet doors did not close.
The drapes were dusty and were falling off/not hung on the curtain rod.
The carpet was stained, worn and looked as if it had never been cleaned.
There were pieces of trash under the bed.
The furniture was VERY worn with tons of scratches, worn areas.
The tub had exposed cast iron where the paint had worn off and not been replaced.
The ceilng in the bathroom had been patched from what looked like water damage but had not been repainted.
There were pieces of floor molding missing in the bedroom area and in...
My 74 year old mother and I were locked out of our room at 3am while it was 31degrees outside due to a malfunction with the lock on the door. Our keys would turn the light on the lock green, but the handle would just freely turn without grabbing the slide. We went to the night staff who told us she had no authority to move us to another room and told us there was no manager available and no service technician on site. She said she would leave a service note in the office for the morning shift manager. Later that morning during checkout, I told the series of events with the morning manager, who turned out to only be an assistant manager who claimed to have no authority to compensate the transaction for the room. The morning manager stated there was, in fact, a service technician on property at the time of the occurrence. The morning manager claimed the night staff was trained to handle a situation like this. So either the night staff or the morning manager lied to us about the availability of a service technician to assist with the door. The night staff did not leave a note to inform the morning manager of the issue with the door locking us out. We paid full price for a promised product that was not delivered in full and there was not compensation on price for our stay. The mornin manager told us there was no management that had the authority to assist, as they are on vacation until Monday. So we paid full price for a room that my senior mother and I were stuck outside of at 3am, in downtown Savannah, with 31degree weather without recieving help or compensation for the room. I've never experienced a hotel conduct business like this in my entire life. Do better, Quality Inn. I would strongly recommend that anyone looking for a room to stay in around Savannah to seek...
