A lot of businesses have had to adapt to the new covid-19 specifications. The over all experience with the company and staff was amazing. We enjoyed our ride with our tour guide, he was funny and engaging. However, some complaints I have might have to do with covid so take them loosely. Before our trip I specifically called to ensure our evening “Boos Cruise” was fully operational and that the bars we would be visiting were in full swing. The staff member excitedly told me they had been operating business as usual for some time. When we arrived we were excited to see the LENGTHY board of bars we would potentially be visiting and the drink specials we could partake in. Unfortunately, the first bar (rooftop) was a HORRIBLE experience. We received no instruction that the bar had a separate section for tour members so we didn’t have to wait to get in. We had limited time at each bar but somehow managed to spend almost an hour dealing with the bar staff. Our waitress disappeared, we were over charged for our drinks and when the waitress was told the checks were wrong she continued to argue with us. While this is not the tour’s fault, it definitely set us back on the time we had allotted. The next bar would not even let us in due to covid and the amount allowed in the bar. Which is fine and understandable but we didn’t have time for 10 girls to wait to go in one by one and the bar would not allow us to order drinks from outside to continue our tour. When we told our tour guide they attempted to make other arrangements and took us to a different bar down the street where we were able to receive drinks no problem. While the staff went out of their way to find different bars, we still only visited 3 bars, with no extension of time, after I was told everything was fully operational. In addition, there is some walking involved. I wish the bike would take us up to the door of the bar, instead you end up walking a couple of blocks to and from the...
Read moreSo we scheduled a slow ride on Tuesday, during our travel down to Tybee Island... we booked it on the website and chose to do a historical tour, we had our 10 yr old daughter and her friend with us. My wife even emailed the company and tried numerous times to call- with no answer- but eventually did get an email back and was told the tour guide would inform us of our stops. So we let it go at that and went to do the ride on Friday- only to be informed that they said they tried to call us and email us that the ride did not have enough people... never received either- so we show up and 2 other people did as well... then they were given the option for another tour... we were not! We were informed at that point ALL slow rides are considered pub tours- which of course was not what we picked on the website (you have 4 options on the website- historical, pub, ghost tour, or an art tour). The girl there at the site was very nasty and very unprofessional!!! You have 4 DIFFERENT options to chose from, well at least according to the website- but that is SO NOT the case!!! WE DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend them for a tour and NEVER will we make another reservation with them!!! We did a carriage ride instead, which we all loved and learned a lot about the history or Savannah... also...
Read moreMy group of friends did this tour the weekend before my wedding. The tour was going wonderfully and we had a great time until we had an accident towards the end of the tour. Our tour guide/ driver didn't wait properly at a Stop sign and an oncoming car (who had the right of way) almost hit the pedal bike. Our driver slammed on the emergency brake and luckily we weren't hit but the car, however several members of my group flew off the bike into the street from the sudden stop. Two of our group went to the ER due to a head injury and significant bruising. While we understand the risks of the pedal tour and signed liability waivers, we also are expecting for the drivers to follow correct traffic laws. I reached out to the manager Liz, who came to the scene of the accident, however I have not received any emails or calls back regarding my inquiry about their insurance coverage and follow up about the accident. I unfortunately had significant bruising and swelling on the day of my wedding and my friend had a mild concussion. It really was a freak accident but I'm extremely disappointed that I have been "ghosted" by the company and management regarding...
