Bloomingdale's Outlet — Attraction in Schaumburg Township

This is place is absolutely disgusting. From the employees attitudes to the actual clothes they sell. As soon as you turn your back they’re talking about you, they’re very homophobic and racist. One employee was checking out two guys at checkout and as soon as they left the employee was joking about them being gay and what their “situation” was. Another employee named “Voula” called black kids who go to a local highschool in the area “section 8 kids” I was absolutely appalled and disgusted by this comment. This employee overall says very inappropriate comments. Another employee named “Jared” has been very explosive and I was very concerned for my safety at times. The store manager Merita and Jared would always be discussing me, to the point that Merita would always take Jared’s side by questioning me excessively. All in all I don’t know what the problem is with the individuals I just listed in the store but it seems to be one sided. I can’t help that them and a few others are racist here in this store, as the only black person and overall black woman who interacted at with this store this behavior is uncomfortable. Great store with even better selection, especially the designer items. Purchased Gucci sunglasses and Burberry scarves. Will certainly be back for more! The customer service was top notch! Everyone greeted with a smile, even under masks. A special shout out to manager Tamar!! So friendly, nice and accommodating. Her leadership can be felt and seen thru the great service she and the rest of the staff offered. My wife bought $670 in sunglasses and accessories, the cashier attempted to wrap her Versace, Marc Jacob and the like in paper and not provide decent cases or pouches. We then, HAD to involve a manager to get proper cases and pouches for our sunglasses.

Luckly for us our friend Chandra, who happened to open this store years ago was with us and made sure the manager took care of us. They obviously need her back.
